people need to stop calling it the ay tee ay tee. the correct pronunciation is @ @. Even Lucasfilm set the record straight on that. The 1981 commercial for the toy even called it the @ @

Your apprentice could ecercise a bit of discipline; he was a bit of a distraction with his 'Sithy' impatience. But then, I am just a grey-haired curmudgeon! I still like your presentation. 😊 Oh, and what Sith would be caught dead wearing a Rebel Alliance pilot's helmet? His allegiance is suspect! @@philipelms5350 back in 2015 Battlefront video game made a mistake and fans ran with it instead of correcting it. It's always been AT-AT and not A-T-A-T. Which stands for All Terrain- Armored Transport. Such as the TIE fighter which stands for Twin Ion Engine but nobody say's T-I-E fighter they say TIE fighter. We'll until Disney makes a mistake and new fans run with it.
Would love to see How this guy works for 6 inch figures? Obviously it would be too small to scale, but looks like you could custom a single seat in the cockpit for 6 inch figures…
Those aren't much easier to get in the U.S. either! I have to go online and buy them just to get them! In some other parts of the country and in Canada they seem to be a bit easier to come by though.
I noticed the vinyl Cape jawa pictured on the base is the light tan kenner one rather than the darker Toltoys one. Guess they just used the same image from the Palitoy one.
I still have my original Toltoys death star. We got it at a garage sale in the 80s and I played with it so much as a child that several pieces have been taped up unfortunately. I am also missing the cardboard ring from the top but I do still have the box but it is also worn over the years.

A great video mate, I’m really enjoying the channel. I’m a Kiwi living in the States now and am lucky enough to have one of these Death Star play sets by Toltoys. I was with my parents checking out some garage sales back in 1985 when they picked it up for me. I remember it only costing them about NZ$5! How things have changed.

Yes it is impressive... most impressive, but the cost of that many acrylic cases would hinder any further carded figure purchases. There's only so much a collector can afford!
Yes I agree about the plastic free Packaging. I didn't know why they would do such a thing but then I heard someone in the collecting Community say maybe they want to destroy the vintage collection line because maybe it's too expensive for them to produce so they just want to go to cheaper lines for kids. A lot of these kids lines are cheaper to produce and sell more and bought more by parents. This might be the way for them to destroy the vintage collection line. But if I'm to be optimist Maybe they won't go plastic free for the vintage collection line which would be great. I like the card backs and the Nostalgia.
