Hermoso concierto. El autor fue contemporáneo de Beethoven, lo que quizás hizo que su gran sombra cubriera a otros autores tan buenos como este, que es realmente bello. Pero viendo la partitura imagino que no ha de ser fácil de ejecutar ni interpretar
who arranged this? And who composed that absurd introduction? The arrangement is full of unnecessary twinkle and decorative counterpoint. I imagine the arranger is also the conductor, hence the slow tempo done to showcase his handy work.
Phew! What are the orchestra and conductor? Plaintive and virtuosic! Respighi also wrote a violin concerto "Gregoriano". It 's on RU-vid, with quite a lot of Wolf-Ferrari including the complete operas "il Segreto di Susanna" (comic. It's smoking!) and "I Gioelli della Madonna" (tragic).
Amazingly beautiful !!! This should be heard, at least once, in every concert hall in the world -- but how could so many virtuosi violinists be found to play it? Astonishingly, this work, from 1878, was not even given the honor of having an Opus number! In his 73 years, the prolific Gade composed 64 numbered works -- and about twice as many that were unnumbered.
