What baffles me the most is how every not-played student didn't just die by themselves. Every time I tried, they all died independently of what I did. I never even made it further than the "L" in "CLEAR".
I know this was posted about 6 years ago, but does anyone know of beating this affects the gameplay at all? Do they still act like they don't know what the outside is like and whatnot?
I found that the best way to deal with the doll fight legitimately is to beat all the mob enemies first. As long as you don’t go to the center area the heartless do not spawn from there so it definitely is a lot to take into account but once you beat the heartless in the area, as long as you keep the fight in that side of the arena, the boss fight basically becomes a 1v1 which is a lot easier to manage. Generally, the best way to deal with the mobs for me was flow motion commands. From there you probably should play conservatively and rely on counters for main damage and you should beat her. It took way longer to accomplish than I would like to admit because of constantly fighting the camera to keep a constant eye on the doll while you are dealing with the mobs. The toughest part was definitely getting to the point where it’s a 1v1 but past that as long as you are willing to take it slow, you should have no issues as her attacks are very telegraphed.
Alright after almost another whole hour, a bit of grinding and stocking full on items in Aspio, he finally went down. Took SO MUCH micromanaging of Rita and Estelle spamming Fireball and First Aid respectively. Poor boy Repede got stuck throwing items at everyone while never getting any himself for the most part. As for me, desperately holding him down with any experience from every other Tales of Game that I played before. So. Damn. Hard.
And got the secret mission too. Not that I was trying to at all, just got "lucky" that while trying to hold this thing down desperately from reaching Estelle and Rita, Yuri, Repede and Rita herself managed to stun lock it for a while (entirely by chance) close to a flower. With fireballs, basic combo into cerberus strike and...Repede doing whatever he could without any TP left. LMAO Until he overlimited and got out.

Anyone else who successfully beat this thing in one try have difficulty celebrating your victory over your rampaging heartbeat and exit out of "Extreme Focus Mode"???
Is there any modding community to sub games of v3 (or in that matter, any of the games?) If I had the time or patience to learn, I'd 100% mod an entire NES length game onto Despair Road (or maybe like, all of CoolMath's Run on the Hajime skateboard). There's definitely potential in these
