I love your metaphor with weight lifting! It is soooo right on. I have been quilting since January. I have made mostly wall hanging and with quilt, i try to pick up on at least 1 new skill.
Wonderful! One new skill in every quilt is a great way to learn. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment. By the way, I go live on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at 7pm (EDT) I hope you can join us this week
Im not a quilter, but I love the sentiment! No matter what skill we are honing, its important to take it a step at a time and practice. We will get to the 500lbs (to stick with your metaphor) soon enough
Wonderful demonstration of this ruler use. Thank you for these encouraging words. I'm new to quilting and admire the larger ones. I will work on small versions/projects.
Oh my, this is quite interesting and I missed a great Podcast. How about an early spring and summer. You have to remember in this area, we can have a horrible snow storm, so not in February or March. April is good or May.
I was afraid too. BUT, once I learned about the right tools and how to set up my machine some of the fear went away. 1- Is your sewing machine capable of free motion? If yes, the next step 2- What free motion foot do you need... Watch this video if you want to learn more ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Wex7ATPnBpQ.htmlsi=VKAjFacekZepvsXq
The cruise idea is wonderful. Are there other teachers on the cruise or the 3 main teachers you have presented in your opening here? I love the fact that we have a lot of teachers that inspire us on this cruise. Is the cruise sold out?
What a wonderful program. Madam Fitzgerald also never seems to age. She is ageing in reverse. I love that. I can see also that the quilt made by Madam Fitzgerald has a pinwheel in the center and the other one does not. Also it is nice to see how the designs are both beautiful and don't have to be exactly the same to be originals.

Hi, just ran across one of your videos and loved it. I am new to quilting but have treated myself to a Juki 350 which I bought off Ebay and am waiting for it to arrive. Your quilting in Amazing!

@@LivingWaterQuilter because I am still pretty new to all of this! A few years ago I sewed a few things, but I haven't had a machinery or anything for years and years and years. Never quilted before. And I just tried this it was just intense, and I think I went too fast
Good morning! I really enjoyed hearing you this morning. I’m having some fun with trying to get some material together for baby quilts. I’ve done a couple quilts for my grandchildren children with free motion quilting on my sewing machine. I love doing it. Young children don’t look at my stitches closest. It’s great to practice the free motion techniques on the grand babies quilts. Thanks for sharing your experiences in quilting. Love this!!
You can turn off the upper thread and the bobbin sensors in your settings. Open your machine settings, then click on the eye. Once there you will see the switch for the bobbin and for the upper thread sensors.
