For those who don't now yet, Arctic has an excellent RU-vid Chnnel under @arctic364 where he ranks Taylor Swift Albums in the video titled 'week 3 vs altina' whatever that means. Sometimes he also talks about "Pokemans" or something idc
is funny to me how people who play this game for years says Snorlax is low tier shit when is almost a free win having one against one of the best archetypes of the Tier
@@feelsokayman5656 "Snorlax is bad" is a misconstrual of one prominent proponent's actual argument. It's become a hyperbolized meme. It comes from BKC, mostly or solely. And he has clarified since then, what he actually means. What he means is that an effective Snorlax requires more support in the teambuilder than it is worth. That it is too easily worn down over the course of match, in addition to being defensively checked (which often comes with offensive pressure it cannot overcome one-on-one), and the mitigating factors against these issues are not at all easily meshed into a solid team that can handle the metagame, without basically going all-in on Snorlax as the win condition.
@@feelsokayman5656 While more reasonable and hard to deny than the caricature, that doesn't mean Snorlax cannot be effective without much support. It is, as you observed, a formidable opponent for special offense teams, which again as you know is one of if not the best archetype in the tier. And without its relatively few dedicated checks, it is poised to overrun teams.
Arctic's sets went so insane a peon like me can barely comprehend what even happened. I am but a loathsome peasant, unworthy of the music that took place before my eyes.
Feel free to explain how I'm thoroughly wrong, but I'm going to chalk this set down as a throw. I would love to see the ladder testing sessions that made him confident in bringing these two teams.
@@funkymachine No it isn't. At all levels of the gen 3 ou ladder, your teams are tested for rigor. If you lose to a garbage low ladder team, clearly either your team is garbage too or your play is straight-up bad. If you win in mid ladder as easily as you breezed up through low ladder, that indicates that maybe there's something there with this team. And then in the real test, high ladder, your team is very much tested to its limits in terms of being able to handle the meta at large, even when operating in a Bo1 environment with limited information every match (outside of guys you face on a regular basis; even then, trying to consistently one up them is also a struggle, especially without a nigh perfect team). And then the absolute toughest trial is top ladder, where 2 dropped games can lead to -50+ ELO, and the knowledge you let someone 10 or more ranks below you beat you, while a victory grants you a whopping 8 pts of ELO. It becomes stressful, and only the knowledge that your team can handle anything and overpower most things with ease, is what will allow you to confidently load up. People who try to talk down ladder, especially while trying to talk up tournaments (like this one, which I've watched the whole thing and it has *not* been impressive to say the least), are being ridiculous. The competition has only gotten stronger since Jimothy popularized the tier.

@@AttitudeIndicator the first team was just a matchup fishy overload strat, if it goes against a big 5 team or something relying on blissey it just wins, but the second team was actually pretty interesting. pure pp stall is extremely hard to do in gen 3 but it's not a bad take on it, i'd prefer rest zap but the only real issue is how weak you are to crits
i think it's Streets of Rage 2 stage 2 or 3, i dont remember, but it's definitely SoR2 edit: it's stage 3, Dreamer: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rcmy6T2-Sgs.html
