This video is a gem! I'm so glad I found it. Thank you & Roy for sharing this awesome story. I have been binge watching videos about the Nevada because my Dad was a Fireman on the Nevada. Your Dad may have known him - Carl S. Littlefield. He passed many years ago. I have a note book full of memorabilia - letters, ship menus & newsletters, ticket stubs, maps, postcards, pictures. etc... Someday I'd like to finish the book which is called: A Sailor's Journey & gift it to a museum in my will. Your Dad helped me piece together the journey which was difficult to do because all the info I gathered wasn't detailed enough. I'm so grateful that you made this video!

Roy stopped into the appliance department at Lowes Home Improvement; and it's there I met him. This documentary is wonderful. Reminds me of the book "The Greatest Generation". My son Joey is currently serving in the Army, repairs and maintains Apache Helicopters. Working to become a pilot. Meeting Roy and visiting the bases where my son has served makes me to so proud. I've been watching Playa del Carmen videos all morning to get an idea of what to do while there - leaving Feb 11. you're video by far ... is my favorite... the smiles, the music, the pics, mixed with the videos, the amount of stuff you fit in while still looking like you had plenty of down time to relax. Would you mind sharing more information about how you planned your days there.
Some of our activities, like sailing and parasailing, were available at our resort and the excursion with Mystic only lasted 1/2 a day, leaving chill time. The scooter ride through Cozumel was a full day adventure and so worth it. If you do this, check out the condition of the company's scooters before signing with them. Make sure to visit the windward side, the wave crashing is beautiful. Unless they've changed the law since last spring, stay off the bicycle trails. Police monitor and ticket in that area. We visited a bar called Coconuts, the scenery was amazing from there. Have fun!
so i can launch at morehead city somewhere? i want to take my family down there with the skis we got to have some fun, but im hearing its not legal ?? any thoughts advice? we're hoping to camp somewhere, but internet says i cant beach my skis? any advice appreciated friend
mike smith You guys could camp at Shackleford banks and just anchor you ski in front of you camp site. If the weather is good you could run to Ocracoke for the day. Good luck.
