Ahh, I see. Shadow.. too many people use shadow versions which comes off as either easier to pull off some ish like this and or because of they're wide spread usage, to catch someone in something like this, just gets harder and harder.. love akihiko, I hate his range and how somewhat redundant he can be but ohoho boy, when i gotcha, I fucking gotcha.. All his redundant movements makes it easy to forget the chains he can pull off. Idk how to get myself out of his BnBs.. I picked him up awhile back and I feel like I'm worse now then when I started.....
I’m having trouble with how long to delay Sonic punch for challenge 22… I’m either too early or too late in my timing but I’m not gonna give up I made it this far lmao
As a new player trying to pick up akihiko i can tell these combos are gonna be veru difficult cus of how long they are. Compared to strive this game looks way more challenging
I did this in 1.1 video I can do it in 2.5 0:26 5A starters 2:48 5B starters 5:27 5B counter starter (damn this one is long) 8:25 2B starters 11:26 j.B startes(including cyclone j.B) 14:29 grab starters 16:47 sweep starters 17:42 DP starters 18:25 A killrush starters 20:03 5C/j.C starters 22:25 rekka starters 23:42 OMB extender
Just take it easy, one step at a time! Join the p4u2 discord and share videos there. We typically discuss ways to improve each other. More importantly don't let it get to you too much. Look at how I get stressed but in the end I just try to laugh it out lol
Hey do you know every changes of 2.5 ? I started the game recently its my first fighting game I'm really trying to get good at and I don't wanna learn combos wich are not working anymore 😅
Hello! Yes, there's quite a bit of a change between 1.1 and 2.5. I suggest joining the discord for P4U2 since we have a lot of help for newcomers there! I will attempt to make a few videos when I have time, but as you can tell between the releases of my videos, I rarely get time for myself anymore. discord.gg/p4au
I love Akihiko but im so bad with him i try though he's my favorite persona 3 character nonetheless you're better than me with him XD he's so cool though im just bad at fighting games but i love them btw i also call it a curse for me i can never get better at fighting games i just play for fun ^_^ i also find him a very strong character
games first and foremost are about fun, dont worry about whether you are good or bad, focus on having fun! you'll get better naturally the more you play, so just enjoy the ride itself
@@barzorx i played fighting games for years i still at the same level as i am today i can only play fighting games with very certain people i hate playing online otherwise i get meltdowns to easily so i stick playing alone more fun that way even though funny i do rage at cpu sometimes XD except Akihiko though i dont rage at him beating me however i do hate safety and easy on fighting games but i do agree it is about having fun but i see a lot of online players take it way to seriously its toxic
@@luffysgirl3156 its fine when people take it seriously, it is a competitive game after all meant to be taken seriously. that doesnt mean that casual players arent allowed to go and have fun; just avoid the people that want to go at it hard and try to have fun in your own way, really. as long as you have fun, its all good in the end
@@barzorx no i disagree really i cant stand people taking it seriously its kind of pathetic its like they only care about is winning theres one thing i hate is ranked in fighting games non ranked matches shouldn't be taken seriously though
Really good stuff! Any advice on connecting the 2B > j.B > 5B consistently? That's the part I am struggling with. I assume you have to hit the 2B as low as possible and then delay the j.B so it hits a little late for you to land before your opponent does, but maybe I'm wrong because I just for the life of me not time the j.B right.
sorry, I missed this message! you have the right idea. generally any jb loop, you want to hit the jB part of it as late as you can. the timing changes based on the combo, too, so sadly, the best advice i can give is to do it over and over until you just kinda "get the feel" for the right height
I saw this video while I played the Game for the first time, now with the new release of P4AU Im back here to improve because everyone else is so good holyshit
I just subbed to you cos you were literally one of best aki players and I never even seen any P4AU stuff. You're awesome. After watching this, you really taught me the difference between ex mode or ducking modes.
The long answer, i would love nothing more than to provide such a thing. However, I dont have the time to edit such a lengthy video. Lately I seldom have a few hours a week to just.. try and play the game, let alone properly write everything out, perform, record, and then go through the grueling editing process. If I had help with that, I would, but alas, I don't. :( So... sorry, but more than likely, I will not be making a 2.0 combo guide
Yeah, narukami dp has a few frames where we is crouching. You can actually do a few other routes only on him but, i dont think theres much worth in looking into them (yet)
@@controlpain9314 I wouldnt recommend practicing anything in this video if you are playing the re-release since it's a completely different version. This explains the changes between Persona 4 Arena (the original game) and Ultimax 1.1 (the previous version)
This version of Akihiko is pretty weak - make sure to lab all of your options, and be patient. You are outstanding at mixing pressure options, not at having mixups, or neutral, so make sure to keep changing what it is you do during pressure. I highly suggest jumping onto the persona fight club discord, since you can get more 1:1 conversations on specific matchups and situations!
the comeback at 8:25 was so damn good!!! im new to the game and immediately want to learn him because boxers are rare and awesome. I want to learn how to play him well, just how difficult is he?
And also thanks for the kind words on the comeback, though it was really both of us dropping combos left and right! It should have been the Labry's player win, absolutely. I just got very lucky haha
when it came to hearing P4AU was back, Barzorz was one player I expected to come back, I know I came back as well on steam, but man, Aki is not how he used to be, I long for the days of 5B fatal hit, those were the days.
