@@hyokkosstories when addressing women -kun is used as a general honorific by certain professions to be a little bit more respectful/not as distant as -san is This is usually used in political or academic settings, eg. Talking to a female peer in school(with less seniority), or a professor talking to a female assistant/student. In this case it's a 'principal' talking to a student. I hope that clears it up for you, that being said, feel free to head canon the mc as whatever gender you'd like, I like to think it's up to the interpretation of the person playing the game.
