What's hysterical is it didn't stop the Mongols! They invaded at least 4 times! The sad part is thousands died building that useless wall and it bankrupted the Mings! Their self-righteous and egotistical effects were a disaster!

All the slave laborers who built the wall became the mortar as they died from the work. and where did all the thousands of prisoner builders go onto ? They are in the wall. The terra cota "soldiers" they are effigy real DNA replicas of selected men certain lineages

It's hysterical the Chinese spent billions building that useless wall! And over seven hundred thousand peasants died building it! But the Mongols still invaded and conquered great swaths of Chinese territory!

The 99.999 brick story is obviously a myth. When you do the calculations, the lowest estimate gives you 161260 bricks for the fort's wall alone. The bricks are roughly 50cmx10cm, that's 500 cm² per brick. The wall is 733m long and 11m high so that makes 8063m² or 80630000cm². Divide that with 500 and you get the amount of bricks, which is 161.260. There are two sides (I assume the inner materials were not bricks) so I add 80% of the outer wall for the inner one because it's shorter. That makes 290.268 bricks. A bit more than 99.999 and I'm not even counting in the towers and/or other buildings in the fort. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, I just enjoy calculating that kind of statements/fact checking bold claims ;-) (also: I'm drunk so if i made a miscalculation you are free to correct me)

Tartarian Empire refers to a group of pseudohistorical conspiracy theories, including ideas of a "hidden past" and "mud floods " which originated as pseudoscientific Russian nationalism. Tartary or Tartaria is a historical name for Central Asia and Siberia. The secret about great Wall, it's not own by china. It's just rebuild the china. Try searching Tartary Empire. China acting like they own everything., Just like Ours, West Philippines sea

So ingenious, innovative, & inventive designs, paying meticulous attention to its minute detail started in such ancient times, until the end of Ming Dynasty. It gives me the impression it seems to have gone the bounds of possibility that any other fortified wall could arise again in terms of its incredible dimensions. It also seems to reflect their resolute & unyielding determination, perseverance, & tenacity against their northern nomad's or Mongolian invasion. Thoroughly enjoyed, admired, & appreciated this updated version on the Great Wall of China documentary at the comfort of my residence somewhere in the USA,,,,(06/16/24)

Cheap speculations. This archaeologist tells as true, he has to tell st. to bring his bread on table. Cannot function as protecting wall, if a guard notice the enemy, till alarm reaches the far east and army gets the point, the enemy could easily be at the other side 😁.
