ok, the trick is to start with the clip that's away from the car...then push up and hard until you get a gap...then do the second and third 👍 ps the one clip has a cover on it you have to pull off!
Yeah im getting 64mpg out of my 1.6 titanium 09 plate. Into a large town with traffic everyday 17 miles 45 mins commute. Hypermiling though but saves alot of fuel amd money.
That's a very good mpg figure. Normally these TDCI engines get between 49 to 53 mpg. Some are even over 60 MPG. Not really a big fan of diesel cars at all though. I don't mind diesel cars that get 55 to 75 mpg. But older diesels are just plain noisy and don't get that great fuel economy. I have a 2013 Toyota Auris Hybrid 1.8, and today I got 67 to 74 MPG on the motorway at 60 to 65 mph. The highest I got today was 80 to 87+ mpg! That was at a slower speed at around 48 to 52 mph. I'm thinking of buying a Prius Plug-In next or a 62KW Nissan Leaf.
I mean you’ll have a cooler engine provision that cooler is better but more noise I wouldn’t say should be a by product should be more or less the same check your hoses and everything 👍🏻
Im thinking of getting the metal zetec s 1.6 deisel only thing putting me off is its turbo where petrol version aint but love look of the one i seen had the diesel done well for you till. You sold it ?
That all the miles it has mine has 232k on it amd apparently is 180hp 1st 2nd 3rd are a dick to get in gear sometimes it wont let me take it out first till i come to a stop very annoying cracking wee cars tbh
@@jamiepudney haha! Not the case I don’t think, I actually managed to average 58mpg out of it yesterday on a 25 mile round trip! And 51-53mpg today! Just drinks the fuel for whatever reason😬
My grandad just had mine to smashed pieces when somebody pulled out on him 😂 They do look decent black on dark blue… unfortunately I think I need to swap the whole unit as it’s hanging in 2 or 3 pieces lol
Hi mate, installing mine this weekend - I haven't had the coolant recall, do you think it would be doable if I just move the coolant tank and don't bother with the cowl?
i've just done mine, get the 1st clip clip pushhed down then just hold onto your wing mirror and push the clip in really hard and the cover will pop off.
Such a shame about the st. My friend just had to get rid of his cause of finance he's still depressed. People get golf R's and end up going back to stage 3 fiesta st. You know why.
@@jamiepudney I saw his route and managed to purchase a 207 GTi. Same 1.6 as mini cooper S, Stage 3 is around 280. If you strip rear it is about same weight as st and you can pick them up for less than 2k. Obviously nothing is going to handle quite as good as an st but I've only spent around 4.5k in total.
Hi Jamie. What heatshield are you running? This isn't the airtec heatshield but I like how it goes through the heatshield, rather than just sit on top. I also like how it's 90 deg to the front of the car, not coming out diagonally like most of them do. If you can shed some light on your parts list it would be most appreciated.
