Ah, fair Nîmes. As soon as I stepped out the station up that gorgeous wee alley between Av. Feuchères leading up to Les Arènes I knew I was in a spot to savour. It was July. The cicadas were providing that quintessential Midi soundtrack with their crazy buzzing, the buildings had that faded grandeur/shabby-chic look that France does like no other country on Earth (save Italy), and the general vibe was one of satisfied torpor in the summer sun. Sure, there’s not much to the place. To call it France’s Rome is to grossly insult the scale and richness of the Eternal City, but what there is, including, of course, the superbly preserved aforementioned Les Arènes and Maison Carrée, is worth a day of anyone’s life.

Thanks for the video! Thumbs up! But feedback for future ones: for example at 02:45 for a while before reaching the tower, the video shows almost only the parked cars instead of the nice street, trees and bikes on the right. Seems to me that that could get better

Despite only being there for some 50 years centuries ago it still bears the name. 1:51:40 the old looking tower in the back is part of Oudaen, a city castle also used to shoot at the spanish castle 1:53:10 a better view of Oudaen
Please don't judge me harshly. During shooting, one of the three axes of the stabilizer was partially blocked and terrible shaking occurred. I did my best to stabilize using Adobe Premiere Pro. This took a lot of time and required some cropping.

There are only live sounds here deliberately. In addition, you can’t imagine how many problems there are with copyright infringement - even with music barely audible while walking from a restaurant or from street performers.

It's unfortunate younger generations and those easily attracted to hyperbole and TikTok insanity don't love these kinds of videos, but there are others like me who aren't influenced by hype, trends, and BS who really appreciate your videos.
