I'm a Grandpa and I Fly RC Planes! A lot of RC planes. I have a strong passion for RC airplanes because of my experiences growing up with my father. If you watch my channel you will get real life experiences with my RC planes, RC jets, and RC biplanes. Occasionally we might talk about other RC related items too.
On February 4th 2020, I completed 365 days straight of flying RC planes outside live on RU-vid.
Hey. While we hate to see this, and man more than once said I was hanging it up after a crash. I’m only three years in, but seeing the more experienced guys had bad days help. And I agree, it sucks but man there is so much more. I got into this after my wife passed away and this community has helped get through some tough days. It’s more than toy airplanes for some of us.
The D-Day stripes were painted on aircraft to help prevent friendly fire from the ground during the invasion. This model is not accurate as the strips went clear around the fuselage in front of the tail and the wings had stripes on the top and bottom. E Flite might of done this for visual help to distinguish the top and bottom when flying. Very easy to get disorientated.
Nice looking and flying plane. My friend used to have one of these and I fondly remember seeing it fly. Good Times. BTW nice landing. Thanks for sharing.
Love the Jug! It's my favorite warbird, too. If you want to fall in love with it completely, read "Thunderbolt", by Robert S. Johnson. He was the top scoring P-47 ace of WW2. He makes you feel like you're in the cockpit with him from learning to fly it to VE day. Great read. Thanks for the video, Gary. You always fly the good stuff
My maiden earlier this year was tough on grass (it wanted to tip forward and chew up the grass) I was finally able to get it up by pinning the elevator.
Love the channel buddy. As an avid fan of the viper and with a few hundred flights on mine let me say that it appeared to drop a wing which they’re notorious for at slow speeds. With your flaps fully down and at that speed I think it just stalled on ya.
If they sell out before I can get one I am blaming you Gary!!! LOL. What a great plane. It checks all the boxes. I would really like to see them release UMX version as well... LOL. Thanks for sharing GG!
Looks like a Pitts?? It's got a Ultimate cowl, a RV8 fuselage, a Spitfire wing and a Waco rudder and elevator. Great fun flight Gary, the Commander is one of my favorite airplanes. AH...
