The worst part isn't even the weapons, but the almost total replacement of the Rambaldi puppet throughout the course of the film. I really can't ignore that.
For the film's 30th anniversary release on Blu-ray in 2012 and for its 35th anniversary release on Ultra HD Blu-ray in 2017, as well as its corresponding digital releases, only the original theatrical edition was released, with the 20th anniversary edition now out of circulation.
Glaser by his own admission became an absolute pain in the arse... Had "the violence" not been taken out of the show at the end of the second series.... It probably would have fun for 5 maybe 6 seasons..
Just watched this film on Amazon Prime. Probably one of the best sci-fi films I've seen in a long time. And no special effects, no futuristic set designs. Just a great idea for a story...a much better story than The Running Man. Great acting by all as well. Everyone should see this film and World on a Wire.
Something about her was so sexy. It was hot when she Bret played butt bongos on her. In the post-finale episode I actually got even more turned on when she farted during that scene. Wish they actually used the audio.
Too young for the original run, but I fondly remember being on the road in Colorado, hustling pool in the Denver area for a few months back in the 90’s, catching reruns with my road partner in the middle of the night… What a great show!..
Always like the sentiment of this scene, and how Richard Jordan is able to quietly hold his own against Alec with his silent, thoughtful reactions. Since I saw this movie before I read any of Clive Cussler's books, Jordan became the template for how I mentally envisioned Dirk Pitt.
Aside from the guns being turn into walkie talkies, I honestly think some scenes in the 2002 version had some pretty decent changed But this one sucks.
