Ok... So i have severe travel anxiety particularly about traveling internationally. Maybe ive heard too many true crime stories or watched taken too many times but im petrified. Anyone have advice for that? Cuz it looks like so much fun and i want to do it but im legit so freakin scared which kinda just makes me mad at myself like "just do it" ya kno? But i cant. Is it safe? Halpppp lol.

I moving from Florida to Wisconsin via Georgia (for 1.5 years). My daughter married a Wisconsin boy, and they moved there. I'm not missing out on grandkids and family time. After several visits, I'm surprised how much I like it. And, the people are sooooooo nice. Wish me luck. I'm so glad your happy to be back home. ❤
You gotta do what you gotta do. But I hate traveling somewhere and not eating the local food. I don't eat out much when I'm home, so I want to splurge on food when I'm on vacation.
Florida native here strongly considering a move to Wisconsin in the next year or two. I have family in Chicago, so I’ve spent a good amount of time in the midwest including a few times in Wisconsin and always just felt more at home in that region. Florida’s just getting more expensive and hot. I’ve spent enough time in the cold to know it doesn’t bother me or scare me. Thanks for giving this perspective! We’ll see what happens.
I love this! All though my family is a big travel for the food some of the best memories is breakfast from the hotel and pizza at the hotel pool! It was just a fun time with my family chilling at the hotel eating breakfast or playing in the pool! I love this for you guys and your kids always had a smile of their faces!

Terrible processed food. Get some serious education on how to eat healthy. You are frugal about it now but your entire family is going to pay for it later with diabetes and other health-related ailments

we've used it in the Florida Keys, twice in Europe, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and San Diego - I've loved it! It held up really well and is so easy to steer, handles cobblestones well, fits in the overhead bin, etc.
The U.K and Ireland are great family destinations as well. Kiddos enjoy fun activities, parks, beaches, food, history, and easy communication. Also in many places in the U.K. there are local farms you and your family can stay for barely anything if you help out on the farm. The kids will love getting dirty, feeding animals, and learning about the farm. Be warned lodging on the properties may be tents, caravans, or bunkhouses. Also outhouses. If you don't need to "glamp" it might be a fun stay. Also you can take the kids to a literal trampoline park deep with in a cave, hunt for fossils on the coast, visit multiple living history villages and so much more. For context I am a German who immigrated to the U.S. ages ago. Ireland is literally magical for adults and children alike. Too many must do's to begin to list.
If it’s carry on size then it shouldn’t be an issue to begin with which is sometimes still is. If I buy a carry on specific travel stroller that fits the parameters, better believe I’m carrying it on.
We moved to Florida from Wisconsin twenty years ago. A few years ago we bought a second home back in Wisconsin. When we retire, that's where we'll be spending the bulk of our time. Just the opposite of what most people do. We learned that you can't underestimate the people that live up there and we miss them.
I am often asked done here how I can like a place that is so cold versus the hot weather of Florida. My response - It's too hot and muggy in Florida. Up there I can always add layers to keep me warm. Down here, I can only get so naked.
One added note. In Wisconsin, you'll likely see your neighbors less in the winter as everybody stays in more often because of the cold. In Florida, you'll likely see your neighbors less in the summer as everybody stays in more often because of the heat.
If you want to make it cheaper there are usually just your normal hotels (im from UK idk what they are called in USA but we have travellodges) nearby that you could walk to the park from or get a bus / taxi instead of staying in the theme park hotel which will be really expensive.
