How much of the much needed budget is "donated" out of the system? Is this generosity a factor that limits the budget's ability to fund all county needs? The general fund is to be funded by what is not spent after a budget has been applied. How much of this year's budget is funded from last years general fund? If the answer is none then why not and where did the money go? We already know that there are about half the police officers of what the budget allocates. Who recieved that surplus budget last year? What qualification do they have to claim those funds?

I don't think they should raise property tax to house the homeless. Tax what causes it, raise the cannabis taxes, alcohol taxes and cigarette taxes. They called it a sin tax once here in Washington. A lot of people are homeless because of drugs and alcohol so tax the drugs and alcohol.
My favorite is that TX and WA are tied for second place behind CA for mass casualty events so two of the top three states are gun control enthusiast states and the other is basically a free for all gun law wise. Maybe it’s not the guns? NDT says we should look for a signal to noise ration when looking for cause and effect. Maybe you should use “the science” and not feelings to rob people of their rights.
Regarding disabling vehicles, I can’t help but think of scenarios out of “Enemy of the State” where law-abiding citizens can become targets of those in power, whether by factions or other sources, and they can make up crimes or violations in order detain and imprison them. Maybe because they decide they don’t like someone, the person has different political ideologies, or they simply think it would be fun to target someone. Also, these systems could be hacked by foreign actors, could they not? Foreign actors could even target government officials.
I’d also be curious to see if there is a correlation between increases in cost of living and different types of crime since so many staples like food are significantly more expensive than they were before the pandemic.
For the decreases in reported crime, violent and not violent, how much of these decreases is due to not reporting crime that would have been reported in previous years?
Is there any enforcement for criminals who live in voucher-based housing in terms of allowing them to have subsidized housing as tenants? We have a lot of crime around these complexes and it makes me wonder if we are enabling their illegal activity with our tax dollars.
How about addressing the real issues. Changing the culture and prosecuting the criminals are a great start to eliminating so-called "Gun Violence"!! There is virtually no real mental healthcare in the United States. It has been created by completely destroying family culture, devaluing life and lives, allowing "anything goes" and a complete breakdown of morals & ethics. There's no morality left in this country. Heck, we can't even define what a biological woman is. At the end of the day, everyone wants to blame inanimate objects like firearms 🤔🤔🙄🙄😂😂. It's all start at home... so you need to start looking into the mirror and accepting your own responsibility!! The Lame Street Media & 'Mommy's Demand Tyranny' both need to explain why America has the highest density of gun owners but statistically one of the lowest crime rates in the world!! Why does Congress ALWAYS make gun laws that only affect the law-abiding Gun Owning citizens, but NOT the criminals responsible for the violence caused?? Answer me that media analyst...because true journalism in this country is null and void!! Maybe you'll actually realize it's ALL about CONTROL!! These politicians (both sides) don't give a hoot for your safety... just your vote to keep them in office for as long as possible!!
