In the health and care system in the North East and North Cumbria, we want to be the best at getting better - with continuous learning and improvement at the heart of everything we do, and in the way in which we work.
Through the sharing of learning, ideas, and good practice, and by trying new things together, we can find solutions to the challenges we face, and support each other to make a difference to the health of people living in our region.
Building on past successes like the North East Transformation System and CLIC (Cumbria Learning and Improvement Collaborative), the Boost learning and improvement community brings together people with a passion for improvement, innovation and change in health and care.
Boost ultimately serves as a hub for innovation, idea-sharing, networking, and supporting improvement efforts.
Thank you for shining a light on this topic in your video. How has the Let's Talk Bereavement project contributed to raising awareness about grief and loss? As someone who runs a dream interpretation channel, what advice would you give on effectively supporting individuals experiencing bereavement? I appreciate the insights provided in this video highlighting the importance of addressing grief and loss in our communities, and I've liked and subscribed to show support for your cause.
This is a great presentation, but I am concerned that this is going back to what should be happening, and has been discussed for the last 20 years, joined up working. Why is it this seems such a difficult ask of professionals? Thanks Rachel.
Thanks for your comment Jan - it's a great challenge. You're absolutely right that we've still not achieved this, and need to keep striving for seamless care for our patients/service users. As part of this sometimes we need to bring in new ideas and learning, but also need to be careful not to re-invent the wheel!
