I’ve worked on radial engines for years in aircraft (Dehavilland Beavers) and if I saw one this smokey and unreliable it would be straight in for a full overhaul. This goose obviously got scammed with a junkyard engine and no wonder why the car doesn’t even move one inch.
This was made the year before I was born and in 2022 I am working for the Environment Department in my local council. It was a very interesting and perhaps prescient feature. Thankfully, the random dumping of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) is not as common nowadays and the thought of setting fire to internal fittings in a car before you crush it is bizarre but I think we should have come much further with recycling over the past 57 years.
All new conventional PETROL and DIESEL cars and vans are set to be banned from 2030. New Hybrids will be given a stay of execution till 2035 but currently as i am led to believe the electric batteries will only last 3 years. Will we have a scrap yard piled high with @OLD BATTERIES' instead of 'OLD CARS'
