As an endurance racing afficionado, interesting to see how both Peugeot and Audi seem to be using this almost as a test session for the following months Le mans. I know in 2011 with the then brand new R18, Audi had all sorts of problems especially with what would be the Le mans winning #2 car
Commenting for the second race is just stupid - the task of Farfus was not to persuade the other two Alfas but to slow down the BMW-s ... even a starting race-fan will know this !!!
damn. i wish i was already grown up that time and could have seen it live. I was only 7 years old, watching all of it on the tv. Such great races, gt1/gt2 was truly awesome. Along lmp900 etc..
It’s a shame that Alfa didn’t get a 1-2-3-4 lockout finish thanks to both Tarquini and farfus with burst tyres and giovanardi and Thompson were lucky to get a 1-2 for Alfa Romeo without themselves getting a puncture
550 built by Prodrive UK 575 built by Ferrari itself. It's just 550 by Prodrive got better overall package than 575 by Ferrari. And, 550 by Prodrive got the engine enlarged to 6.0 litre V12. Not sure about 575 by Ferrari. Some source said they kept the engine displacement, some others said otherwise.
british commentators are weird. British commentator: 'hmmm there seems to be an amputated human head rolling on the track. Interesting.' i know it's cloudy on that island but at least try to get into it a bit and not sound like someone dozing off especially when a crash just happened.
They're not all like that, I for example, get a headache from hearing Jon Hindaugh's overly enthusiastic commentary at times. He is from the Radio Le Mans crew if the name doesn't ring any bells.
