I didn't go and then I heard people were selling tri coloured nuns and I have been wanting to get a couple of pairs for a long time but can't find them anywhere, except in Shepparton...
Yes they were there, it's funny you say that I had previously kept tri colors and had bought them at Shepparton and I had also purchased some from Bendigo... that was a couple of years ago. There is also a breeder at the annual Canberra finch society sale 👍 they are nice birds, mine never bred unfortunately 😢 are you in the melbourne area?
Many Blue Gouldian Breeders stress the importance of using a product such as solaminovit as Blue Gouldians need Vitamin A and E as with the blue gene, they cannot produce it, like normal gouldians. Do you consider this a MUST to keep your Blue Gouldians alive?
Yes, I use MULTI BOOST, liquid supplement 2 -3 times a week. I use it with all my birds regardless of mutation. Video 3 in this series goes through all of my gouldian supplement feeding , You can find my details on it on my supplements video also 👍 hope they help ❤ General Supplements video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QnqW7e6wG5A.htmlsi=Ehgb-J6AudWh26md Video 3 in blue gouldian series ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IVx5pPBl6L4.htmlsi=rLHn052Kau7C4XNt
Thankyou for your interest and dropping a comment, Ive loved doing this series! I'm thinking they will be Dilutes over cinnamon now....... but will be interesting. Yes episode 8 will be how I keep my birds in the non breeding season... then I'm thinking a final follow video being episode 9 showing the birds after their moult 😀 will be some time away though. I'm about to do a video on my holding cage/s setup also 👌
like to watch any guldian finches videos, except indian ones with english title, have two pairs, they are quite cheap here in Serbia, no more than 20euros for any color except blue back, the females started laying eggs, and one of them laid the first two while standing on a branch, of course the eggs broke, but she laid the third and fourth in the nest box, because i'm new to this i have a question, after how many laid eggs, female begins to lie constantly on them?
Wow that sounds very cheap... out if curiosity how much do you pay for the blue ones if you can get them? I usually find gouldians start fully incubating after the first 3 eggs are laid.... then it's about 18 days until they start hatching.... then after a day or 2 you'll start hearing the feeding noises. Good luckni hope you get success!!!! Thankyou for watching and dropping a comment. Part 7 if this series is nearly complete and ready for release 😊
@@SimonsBirds thanks for the answer, and bluebacks are not more than 50-60 euros, and that is mostly until they reproduce a lot, in a few years they will cost the same as greenbacks, it was the same with yellowbacks, at the beginning they were 40-50 euros, now they are 15-30 euros, I bought two male yellowbacks 3 months ago for 18 euros each, two years old
@@TheOnibar thankyou! I love talking about birds, so any time 👍 , I also recommend joining a bird club here in Victoria depending where you are, they can be amazing sources of information with some members having kept birds for nearly a century! 👍 hope you can enjoy my channel
Thankyou for watching! Yes the young have left the nest in the last few days, Part 7 is currently in the making 👍 I was going to wait until the series was finished before releasing it but I couldn't wait any longer 😅
👍 I'm currently recording and putting together a video series on Breeding my gouldians, it will have footage of them and how to keep them, look out for it in the coming months. Unfortunately I had to sell the star finches to make room for these gouldians, but I may keep them again in the future as I'd love to keep the cinnamon star finch 👍
@@ruzaikahamadeen9444my first reply to you was from my other channel, it focuses on all types of content , not just bird keeping as this channel does. I usually post all of my bird content on both channels, but this channel is concerned primarily with bird keeping, thankyou fir watching and being a part of my channel. I love talking birds! 😂
Greetings from Canada! Thank you for starting this channel Simon-much needed as I don't think there are nearly enough videos on finches here! This was a great video, and I look forward to seeing more! 🙏🐦
