I live in Salinas very close to Monterey Bay in California where we have a Mediterranean climate that alstroemerias just love and do very well in here, however the plants themselves are SO hard to find in garden centers or retail nurseries. I never quite understood why that is since there is a demand for them. Ive also been working in and managing nursery garden centers for 14+ years and have yet to find a reliable source for them to provide for my customers of these plants, especially for the summer series or the valley series mentioned in this video; the only ones we ever seem to be able to get here and that’s occasionally are the dwarf intancancha series and the princess series. I really hope they become more widely available as people would buy them if they could actually find them. Even if you spend hours hunting on the internet you’ll be lucky to find an online provider with more than about 3 or 4 varieties.
Hello @Tillybird, do you mean the large flowers? This is our Alstroemeria Specialty variety "Fashionista Pink": www.hilverdaflorist.com/nl/assortment/product/fashionista-pink/ Kind regards, Denise
@@Tillybird Yes, this is a scabiosa variety but unfortunately one that we did eventually not introduce. You can find our Scabiosa Virtuoso series online: www.hilverdaflorist.com/assortment/concepts-cutflowers/scabiosa-virtuoso/
