What a great video. Does anybody remember the lovely little outdoor wear walking shop that used to be at the end of the shopping parade? They used to sell leather boots either camping equipment or possibly hardware items. I used to love going in that shop back in the 70s and have very fond memories but simply cannot remember the name it may have had the word brown in it but I’m not sure could anybody else remember I wonder?

I was born in this hospital in 1965. I’m sure I was told that I was delivered by our family GP Dr Gibson. Can’t imagine that happening now. Does anyone know where in the town it is. I’m assuming it was demolished years ago?

Once again I love tiger's bay Belfast, but living here in Brampton ont Canada I see both sides of the troubles, I'm so sad that leaving northern Ireland has give me a new perspective,, I drink in a great wee pub here and everyone gets along with each other, it's called Maguires and we all got along until Glasgow rangers f.c won 55 , (onlyjoking), but we laugh and friends are all Canadians, Irish North and South, Welsh ,English and as I'm Ulster Scottish I'm proud of myUlster Scottish upbringing, but I wish all people who are nice to each other all the best of luck in life.

Can clearly remember that terrible Saturday afternoon. Was in a football game '11Th Life boys' v Dr. Barnardo's boys team at their home grounds at Whiteabbey. Game was called-off due the Gale. had a welcome Tea & hospitality with the Doctor Barnado's Boys. On getting home my parents described the Disaster as the sad news was on the Wireless.

They really ripped the heart and soul out of Bangor when they built that 'car park for boats' monstrosity in the bay. All those lovely walks beside the sea wall, gone. The view across the bay, gone. The beautiful old sea wall ripped up and replaced by a car park. The prominades replaced by ticky tacky novelty pavements and storage bins covered in flowers.

That's some impressive flooding at 1.! When was that, and where in the town? It was lovely to see all the old photos, but I could have done without all the tilty, zoomy effects - I felt quite dizzy by the end. It would have been great to order them by date and location, perhaps fading older photos with newer ones until the present day, so we can see the changes,
