Nothing is forever. I never bought into the old Guerlain cases and I will not buy the new ones. I'm saving for a rainy day. I'm not excited by any of this makeup, sorry. You look stunning and it all suits you. I'm loving the Merit blush balms, so easy and foolproof. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you Angela. I was gifted a lovely ££££holiday Guerlain case. Someone also at this time gave me a name of a jeweller that creates brooches from the holiday cases. I will review this option when the lipsticks are no longer av. I do have have favs of the previous lipsticks, and I am guessing these previous lipsticks will become very reasonable.
I have not seen chanel blushesadveris4d as unique, it is chanel new formula introduced and that's itthey n3ver claim thes3 to be unique. I have 2 of them and they do feel creamy to touchand have blurry and very natural finish in contrary to someone other blushes releases on market.i have westman atelier peau de peche and beige eclatant has very similar affect on my pale skin, beautiful natural sheen in contrary to greasy westman atelier. There are 2 shades suitable to deeper skin tones. I'm sure they will introduce more colours.I purchase one of the satin gurlain lipstick and gave it away, it reminded me coco flash, very sheer and slippery to lines, realy awful
Angela everything looks beautiful on you. I was tempted to get a few Chanel blushes, but haven’t yet. I think I will pass, for now, cause here is the thing, If I buy something that I already have in that category, I will use new toy, lol and forget about the one I just bought before and most of them haven’t used … I was thinking of getting rose ardent, but I just got the both duos, and berry one, it’s also cool, so I want to use that one. The beige is so similar to last year fall one, which I haven’t used. Also for that neutral look TF rose cafe , so I am definitely getting only something that is very unique or I don’t have in my collection. Powder I really barely use. I have 2 Chantecaille Eclat from some years ago holiday collection and Westman atelier pink bubble one . How would you compare those ? Thank you and have a blessed day🙏❤️
Hi Angela! I have been waiting for Guerlain's new releases and will definitely purchase the Parure Gold Setting Powder. I used a whole bottle of the Parure Gold foundation and wanted to repurchase that product as well! I'm definitely going to take a look at the new Fall lipstick color you picked, it looks beautiful. The Chanel Blushes were a 'pass' for me.....mostly because I have several right now that I'm really enjoying and almost never fully finish a blush before 2-3 years pass by. I purchased chanel blush but I didn’t like it cant blend easy and doesn’t long lasting. Do you think should i buy Tomford’s blush, or it is also not unique?
Ángela- thank you! I passed on all Chanel collections for the lack of depth, innovation and staying power. I have a few Guerlain lipsticks but I will not purchase the cases…I will get refills. I have been in the industry for too long to be part of the same game which they play on us. I appreciate your honesty. ♥️
Hi Angela, thank you for your honest and useful video ❤ I personally think that the Guerlain powder is outrageously expensive and I really can't stand those stupid commercial claims about gold and diamonds, they make me want to not buy the item 😐🙈 It looks like they have been trendy for a few years now and I've always found them just a bit annoying... 😡😅 The lipsticks are very luxurious and your makeup is flawless and refined as always 🌺

I really appreciate your videos, and I like you a lot as a person. Since we have similar skin tones, I always rely on your swatches and reviews! I recently bought the Chanel Beige Éclatant blush, and I love the formula. I was considering getting the Rose Radiant shade as well, but after hearing your thoughts and knowing you prefer the beige one, I think I’m happy with just the one for now. If they release more interesting and nuanced shades in the future, I might consider adding to my collection.
Thank you for a wonderful review Angela! It’s a great news about Guerlain powder! How in your opinion Guerlain compares to Chanel loose powder? I’m also wondering about shades - I agree with you - I would prefer not transparent shade, however hard to tell from pictures on-line what shade to get. I’m a bit darker than you (between 30 and 30 in Chanel). Also hope they will come up with the travel version! I’m still on a fence about lipsticks. My favourite case from the new collection is the second one you got and it’s practically identical to the old case I have - seams like such a waste! I like their formula and the first colour in a new collection you got looks stunning, however if I to be honest I reach always to Chanel, Dior and Sisley over Guerlain, so maybe this is the sign. lol. Goodevening Angela, the new nude Chanel blush is stunning. I was wondering last time what gave you this beautiful sheen and soft colour. Yes, Guerlain in pursuing its marketing program. I have always loved the Guerlain foundations and lipsticks, the powder looks beautiful. I will finish my old Guerlain lipsticks, some too dark autumnal shades, won't be never be finisished. Personally, either I become creative with the old cases, or I will trash them. Thank you for showing the new shade of the Guerlain lipstick. I like it. Thank you. I like your idea of being creative with the old lipstick cases - I’m not sure I’ll ever do that, but I never believed they would not be changed at some point - they’re lying if they tell you you’ll be able to use a fancy case forever… for generations, lol (not to make fun, bc I kind of believed it too)- but when has that ever been true - I have a fun example… I have an old lipstick case of my great great (great?) grandmother from 1910’s - it may even be guerlain … I don’t know but it opens up with the little mirror - it’s real silver! - Imagine, SILVER! Plated probably - I want to shine it up and figure out how to put a bullet in it -- but I probably won’t - it’s kind of tiny based on modern standards - I buy lipstick for convenience and newness and prettiness (and sometimes functionality😊)

If you know your grand grand -mamà history and if you feel a positive connection, if you like her as a person, this lipstick case it is a bond between you two. This is a beauty treasure to keep near, on your boudoir, night table, if you like of course. This is part of your female family legacy and it is not a case it ended by you. Personally I know who loved me the most, it was my paternal grand-mother. Who taught and knew me better: my maternal grand-father. I like goodness, even more than intelligence, possibly the both combined together. It is a choice we make everyday, I do exactly remember when and who I did verbally emotionally hurt, unintentionally but still. The effect is though a mirror one, I was in fact hurting myself. We are imperfect creatures, trying to elevate our souls in a world where jobs, work does matter, the practical view. We have to compromise a lot. I am generally open and inviting, but if my senses allert me, I start to raise up my boundaries and mostly I do right. My last colf and this is a war between poor, with her too nice ways to be true, robbed me some medicines. Well she chose the wrong person, I was studying her all the time. Sad. Probably smugling them and reselling, but she lost her safe job, not only by me, but by many others. Was is worth, I doubt it. I was not her first target, in my opinion a routine. I imagine she chose ladies ill with Alzhaimer or Parkinson where the memory can and does confuse a person. Nasty thing to do and extremely dangerous for those patients. I hate being understimated and being a bit difficult to figure out, I can understand why she tried... Yes I am thinking about those cases, I have carefully selected mines, there are rhinestones in them. The colours, some are a failure of mine, too dark for my skin tone, they don't do me any favour. Those cases are semi-precious. I will find out. My favourite materials are glass, crystal, tranparent objects. They do reflect my personality, faults and gifts. You have shared with us your privacy, I am personally honoured. Those are topics on my interest, it us so rare both in real life, even more difficult on youtube to meet autenticity and engaging im very personal life sories or even sharing them. Oooh another wonderful video ❤. I have got ssshh a possible Chanel bit of news. I have heard a rumour that they may possibly stop doing samples, as they move towards a more sustainable business. I understand the reasons why but as they keep pushing their prices up I can't help thinking it's about reducing costs more than anything. And those new Guerlain products look terrific 👌
I recently purchased the Chanel CC cream recommended from my nearest retailer but took samples to check before opening. But 1 was too pale and the other too dark so I returned the unopened product. They refused to take it back, despite me asking prior to sale. So upsetting. I loved the product. But I rang Chanel and they stepped up and credited me the cost. They also sent me skincare samples which were amazing. A very poor customer service failing to stop samples. But I know the cost to the company is huge. It’s up to the retailer to use them wisely not as “rewards” but those who truly are wanting to purchase. I will buy the skincare so it was a good use of samples!!
Happy to find another person who loves the Guerlain powder as much as I do. I may have purchased multiple colors, the finish is just exceptional but I don't hear anyone talking about it!
I appreciate your honesty about the products so so much, Angela! I hope Guerlain comes out with a smaller size powder soon. And I hope they do not change the size of their lipstick cases ever again. It is not fun for the costumers to pay extra. The new Chanel blushes are gorgeous, but they have fragrance and I hope there are more colors, too. Hello Angela. Welcome back. As you know I am not a powder person. I got the W A in the very light pink. Like that is not a loose powder. I saw you using it. And it is perfect for my under eyes. Right now I a* waiting to see the Chanel collection. Don’t know if is coming for the Holidays or next spring. For the moment I have plenty of makeup to last me. Have a nice rest of the day. 🥰🥰❤
I love the Sisley concealer pen. It's my favorite because it's lightweight, hydrating and doesn't settle into fine lines. But it's more light to light medium coverage. It is the most natural looking concealer.
I have Dior and Guerlain Primer, and I find them to be very different. Dior is a more matifying primer, Guerlain is more hydrating and gives a light glow. Moreover Guerlain primer left a light white cast on my face. I was tanned when I bought it, after a I lost the tan it is not a problem any more, however I never had this effect with Dior. So, if you have oily skin, go with Dior, if you have dry skin, Guerlain is the better option. Guerlain Primer reminds me more of Dior Dreamskin Care & Perfect serum. I use primers mostly alone, so I cannot say if any of them let the make up last longer. I will probably not purchase any of them again. Since I discovered Sisley BB cream, it is my everyday base of choice and I will go back to it.
Sisley's tinted moisturizer is one of my most repurchased products. I always have it in two shades. It's brilliant! Thank you so much for the quick review of the Guerlain primer.❤ In my experience Dior's primers - both the glow and the matte version and Chanel's primers don't affect the longevity of my foundations. They just add some blurring effect or glowing effect but on my skin I don't see any positive effect on the longevity. Have a wonderful day! ❤
How does it compare to the la prairie loose powder? I currently use the sisley loose powder when the weather is less hot and humid, and the old givenchy loose powder when i need more oil control and longevity especially during the summer months.
Do you by chance also use the LaPrairie Foundation? It looks so gorgeous. High-priced, but very beautiful. If you do use it, do you think the performance is much better than other formulas?
@@sarahogren3697 I have the La Prairie caviar foundation and yes it looks incredible if you want something buildable to high coverage. For something mid tier but still looking incredibly natural skinlike mid to mid high coverage , I recommend the suqqu cream foundation. If u want somwthung light coverage and incredibly skin like yet perfecting, I use the Kanebo lively skin wear foundation. All are long wearing and looks better on the skin as the day goes on unlike other foundations which looks worse at the end of the day. Koh gen doh foundation is also very good but not as long lasting.
One of the things about the Guerlain case I love (compared to other luxury brand cases such as Chanel, Tom Ford, Dior, etc) is the built-in mirror. It’s so convenient! Much easier to touch up when on the go and of course, the formula and colors are lovely. And I completely agree with you that the hype about the new Chanel ‘cream to powder’ Joues Contraste blush is unfounded. It’s a very nice powder blush - I selected Rose Radiant - but the formula is not revolutionary. One of my best purchases from Chanel were the eye shadow singles - Brun Talpa is a truly beautiful ‘one and done’ color.
Hi Maureen, Brun Talpa has been a favorite of mine for years. The new formula is also very good. Chanel's Brun talpa and Dior's Mitzah and two of my favorite one and done eye colors. I agree about Guerlain's lipstick case. The mirror is a unique touch. ❤
I purchased Chanel Joues Contraste Intense in Rose Radiant too. This formula is quite lovely on my very dry, mature skin. However, I do find the wear time a bit lacking.
Hi,my dearest friend!As usual you took the words right out of my mouth...you couldn't have been more precise when describing the Beige Éclatant Blush. After getting this one i also ordered the Rose Radiant and nearly wanted to order every shade.But due to the more powdery,normal nature of the blushes..without being anything groundbreaking i decided against it and only kept the Beige Éclatant, which i probably would even rebuy,when it's empty.Because it's soo beautiful and i use it as kind of a Highlighter over the matte Blood Orange-Blush from the Fall collection...the combination is soo gorgeous!!And on the eyelids it's soo flattering for every day.But the scent is quite strong too...keeping that in mind,i am very happy with only the one shade,which is extremely beautiful though!❤😊xoxo 🎉, Steffi
Hi Steffi, You made a wise decision to keep only Beige Éclatant. To be honest I have been using only Beige Éclatant and I used Rose radiant just a couple of times. Good early morning to everybody, I have to correct a piece of my fiercy statements. I have to admit I do folow Angela and few other ladies. I do follow who tends to have a similar approach to make up, as mine. Here Angela looks stunning. I have read the products listed, the result is to enhance, not to mask. I have fallen for the nailpolish, 1 eyeshadow palette (Initiation), 1 violet mascara, 1 lilac powder, from the autumnal collection. Here a mishap occured, in my opinion, the new iconic and different eyepalette had been highlighted more than the beautiful "Initiation" quad, which offers salmon, peach, slighly sheen neon and those shades are unique on the market at the moment. I have noticed that ladies have found out by themselves and are buying it. Therefore no, this is not Tissé Rivoli, which is a masterpiece, but a new beginning. Chanel never let me down, I won't drop the House neither. May I suggest more marketing for All products. I don't know if I will be able to purchase all, if the products are still available or if simply if I will buy. It is therefore not correct from my part, neither ethical not to give my support to the new three Chanel make-up artists. They are pioneers, who am I to cut their wings. It is unfair from my part. Would I do better? Chanel, a well established House, with a longlasting history of classic beauty has to endure, looking forward meanwile preserving the legacy. There are few feminie objects stricktly interwined with the ideal of intemporel elegance, beauty and ladylike grace. All this is enclosed in an case of eyeshadows, or a lipstick. In this holiday collection, we have sneak peaks yet. I will certainly, if I could, purchase the champagne-diamond highligher, because it suits my skin tone and I don't own anything similar. It is stunning. Will I hit the pan? Angela is doing a great effort, she is the first to hold on to the legacy and with an open mind. The rest of the collection, I will consider when swatches will be available. Sincerely the eyequad not, because those colours don't suit me at all. 😂. I hope to be able to snatch the Initiation palette. Nailpolishes, lip laquer appear interesting. As always it is a great pleasure, smiles, femine complicity I find here, where my heart and soul can feel light.
