@@joandar1 the press is rated to a tonnage capacity 4500 in the case of this press. You would never write what tonnage of that 4500 ton capacity was use to make one unit to describe the video. It's either a 4500 ton press or it's not. Former industrial engineer, toolmaker, 1000 ton press operator and maintenance fitter.

it is piece of plywood, it burns down to ash and charcoal, so there is thin layer of ash (basicly carbon dust) betwen ram and dished end which prevent sticking. usual lubricant does not work because of the temperature. Blacksmiths use charchoal to prevent sticking tools like drifts for centuries....
We feminists are the one who design the part and draw the prints that somehow these guys on the floor don't follow Then I have to come up with fix at the last minute to save their keister, the customers schedule and the company from eating a few tons of material and 20 hours of combined labor because they were too lazy to follow directions.
