Hi, My name is Greg and welcome to my channel. I've recently realised that I haven't seen as much of the World as I'd have liked so have decided to make that right. So the goal now is to travel as much as possible and do some videos along the way. For 2024 I'm doing a new series on RU-vid called 24in24, the idea being to have 24 adventures in 2024. These can be anything from travelling to another country, climbing a mountain, going on a hike or anything else that I find adventurous. Will be trying to tick off as many new countries along the way as I can.
Lovely! Many thanks for sharing your excellent video. I periodically travel from Hampshire to Shillingstone Station on my Triumph, and always go through Blandford rather than the boring bypass! I certainly didn't know all this was there and must bring the bicycle over.
Just came across your vlog so a bit late with my comment, but that Chapel is still used as was there a week or so ago on a sunday and they were about to have a mass there with celtic singing at 5:30pm and in hindsight maybe should of stayed but was more interested in that old quarry over the cliff as not really a church goer due to monitinous boredom factor but since it probably might of been even a rare occasion don't know didn't ask, I missed getting footage of it and the quarry that day turned out very windy. Nice area to chill out though and very photographic for sure.
Now gone, hidden gem content providers giving away its location on YT and Instagram meant the decision was taken to remove it with no plans to reinstall it.
Just got back from doing this route with a mate. We camped over nigh at Lyn Y Fan Fawr and completed the circuit back to the car park about 2,00pm this afternoon. The scenery is totally epic! The walking is tough to get to Llyn Y Fan Fawr but easy to get back. Well worth the effort! Great Video! Highly recommend this hike to any keen walkers. :)
Having been to the falls numerous times over the years its great to see someone experiencing them for the 1st time - you had awesome conditions and good on you for making an early start. Many years ago you could pick any day and you would get some time at any of the falls to yourself... the last time I went - I videod it - it was like Cardiff Central..lol. Nice watch. Good luck on your challenge. atb Alan
Some time ago now! As a boy ,lived in Blandford in 1950s & left in 1961. Too many changes to mention. Tunnel in field (?) Between Brianston Church and the River is a field. There was an opening to a Tunnel, half filled in.So even when a boy couldn't go in. In an infrequent visit years ago ,was sad to see old home ' 1, North Place ' Demolished, and a block of flats. Situated the top of Orchard and Dorset streets.
Why you're putting directions on for secret waterfalls I'll never know, the clue is in the word SECRET I just don't get it before you know it it will be as busy as Aber falls and that's what we don't want. Please try and think next time before you post
It’s hardly a secret, took me about 5 minutes on Google to find it. I also think that nature should be enjoyed by all, not just a select few. If I can encourage someone to get out and enjoy places like this because I’ve showed it to them, I will continue to do so.
I lost my original, bought one on Amazon but I’m still getting the issue, it’s like it’s constantly disconnecting and re connecting over and over again
Your pronunciations of Welsh words is hilarious mate. Gave me a good chuckle. You reckon the trail could be done on a mountain bike? I saw a few parts that would need to be pushed in the vid, but what you reckon?
I really should avoid all attempts at Welsh pronunciation 😂 I would say a lot could be done on a bike, the initial route up hill would be a tough push and coming down the steep rocks by the second lake would be hard work but the rest should be possible from what I remember.
@@gregin8er 🤣 there’s alien noises to an Englishman in our language mate. I had a northern girlfriend in the past who butchered many a place name, always hilarious. That’s what I was thinking about the track mate, thanks for the reply. I’ve been up llyn y fan fach a few times and to the top of the ridge of that lake, but I’ve never done the loop. As long as from llyn y fan fawr back to the first lake is sound, going down the ridge to the second would be the only tricky part. Cheers
@@gregin8er I’ll give you a few little tips for Welsh pronunciation. The Y is pronounced ugh and the F is pronounced V. The double L sound is made by putting the front of your tongue on the roof of your mouth behind your top teeth and just breathe out your mouth. The air will come out one side of your tongue and make the noise you’re looking for 🤣. The Y after the double L is pronounced like an I tho, just to confuse you a bit more. So Llyn is that noise with “in” attached after it. Good luck 😉
I’m in tears OMFG!!! You should make an updated version or a new one using a scene from a different movie. Throw in any new developments from the past 8 years like expensive shipping, etc. Thank you for the laughs 😂🤣
That's great that you found it. I found getting in difficult but found a much easier way out. Bet it was quite impressive yesterday after all the rain recently.
So my wheel doesn't even start that procedure at the start. But when I connect it to the PC it's all working like a brand new. It won't start with Xbox series S any more. I played 3 years come back from work turned everything on as always and it's not working. Please help restart done nothing.
Years ago my wife stacked 11. She never said a word, then suddenly someone saw her tall tower at about 9, then everybody was watching and were shocked when she did 10. When she stacked the 11th we couldn’t believe it. Great job reaching 10!! My best ever was eight.
Lovely walk Greg. I’ve just stumbled across your channel and know Hambledon hill well. You certainly picked the steepest route😊. A possible future route for you would be to take in Okeford hill, Hod hill and Hambledon hill. 10 miles approx and start/finish where you choose.
Mupe Bay is an old smugglers bay, the cave was used to store contraband. There are many stories in the history books about this. If you are visiting do check the weather forecast as you may easily be spending a night or two in that cave! Make sure someone knows where you are too. Dont climb the eocks as no rocks around there are stable, no matter how good your climbing skills are. While very beautiful its also very deceiving.
Mine has developed a similar issue, i turn it on, the white light flashes on and off, the wheel twitches, the xbox button works but wheel doesnt do any calibration unless you manually go lock to lock a few times, then it goes absolutely nuts for a moment, if i load up fM 23 and go into the settings, all the sliders just want to go to 0 like the d-pad is stuck down left or the wheel is stuck steering left. Got a new breakaway cable coming to try and a new wheel rim to test.
