This is my person RU-vid page where I post a few things from time to time. Lately it's just been soundtracks from old Sega Saturn games, but we'll see what else I can come up with!
Sega was always great with music in games. So many great examples. Nights into Dreams, Streets of Rage, Sonic 1 and 2 (those are very special to me), Panzer Dragoon. But since, the Sega Saturn, they've been using this rock style songs in almost all their games, including recent Sonic games. I wish they could return to that variety they had during Mega Drive/Genesis and Sega Saturn
My favorite theme in the game, very fitting for the character. Akiria was one of the more difficult fighters to learn, but eventually I manage to master his move set. Such an amazing, in-depth fighting game. Virtua Fighter 2 will always have a special place in my heart. 🙂
I always thought that if SEGA made their Virtua Fighter RPG (disregarding Shenmue for one moment) that this should be the theme or perhaps used for training sequences.
FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in Lei-Fei's stage (as Akira's stage instead plays his VF2 arcade theme), albeit with some minor differences to it's composition.
FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in Eileen's stage (as Lau's stage instead plays his VF2 arcade theme), albeit with some minor composition and arrangement differences.
FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in Taka-Arashi's stage (as Jeffry's stage instead plays his VF2 arcade theme), albeit with some minor composition and arrangement differences.
FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in Goh Hinogami's stage (as Kage-Maru's stage instead plays his VF2 arcade theme), albeit with some minor composition and arrangement differences.
FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in Jean Kujo's stage (as Jacky's stage instead plays his VF2 arcade theme), albeit with some minor composition and arrangement differences.
FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in Aoi Umenokoji's stage (as Pai's stage instead plays her VF2 arcade theme), albeit with some minor composition and arrangement differences.
FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in El Blaze's stage.
FUN FACT: On Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown for the PS4, if you've purchased the Legendary DLC pack and change the soundtrack in the settings menu to "Virtua Fighter 2", then this theme will be played in Brad Burns' stage (as Lion's stage instead plays his VF2 arcade theme). The theme is also slightly remixed and re-arranged, as it starts from the bass solo (shown here at 1:47 mark) before the rest of the instrumentation picks up from the 0:07 mark, amongst some other slight changes.
They did have them on VF5 Ultimate Showdown in the Legendary Pack DLC (which features every VF soundtrack up to VF5 Final Showdown), but because all the characters from VF2 have their original arcade BGM tracks (when the VF2 soundtrack is selected in the setting options), The arranged tracks were re-assigned (and slightly re-arranged) to the other characters. This theme is played in Vanessa's stage.
@@Coadz95Sega doesn't value their own IP. VF2 has one of the best Sega soundtracks ever. The soundtracks on VF3 & 5, are not as compelling as the ones on VF2-at all.
Virtua Fighter 2:The game that started my journey! Fighting everyone in this game plus Dural at bonus stage was a pain I progressively relieved after learning and struggling upon!
Everybody else fights in their home countries, meanwhile the Frenchman Lion fights in front of the Great Wall of China and speaks in Californian English.
