You did an amazing job covering just about everything at the park. My wife and I went there for the very first time RV and this summer and we will definitely go back so far. It is a favorite Texas state park.
Awesome video. I live in Houston, and I am now thinking about making a trip up here to tent camp. Any idea if a small inverter generator can be used at one of the tent sites?
Great video my friend. And it was really really great spending time shooting the breeze with you today. You're one of the nicest people I've met in a long time. Take care brother! And thanks for the tips and advice! "I'll See you at the campsite" again one day!
Thank y’all for watching the video last night! I feel the same way, y’all are really nice, down to earth folks! I enjoyed meeting you both and being able to talk about camping! I truly enjoy getting out there and I’m always glad to help anyway that I can. You have a great camper set up and I know it will serve you well with your channel! Thanks again for the gift, that was very nice! If y’all are ever in the area, let me know and we’ll meet up.
This was super helpful thank you for showing those sites! I have been to this park before, but don't have a favorite site yet. excited to check those out on my next trip :)
Were you driving down Hwy 294 through Slocum, Tx last Sunday? We were pulling out of church and I saw a white truck pulling a GeoPro. Wondered if it was you!
Its not the most fancy park but man is it peaceful there. I went earlier this year and i was the only person there. I hiked most of the trails and was completely alone. Its so peaceful there. Especially if youre coming from the austin/san antonio area or south texas and want to get a "forest" vibe. Great place to camp and be at peace. Has the lake risen up? When i was there it was pretty low
Nice video, brother! I haven't been to any of the COE parks yet but those grills would be worth it! 😂 I have a modified Weber I've been lugging around! See you soon
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of all these Texas State Parks! My husband and I enjoy watching your videos and we make our notes and plan accordingly! New subscriber here. Love from Texas ❤
Thank y’all so much for your support and for watching! I’m honored that my videos help you plan for y’all’s trips to these amazing state parks here in Texas! Thank you for subscribing!!👍😎
I love the informative things you put out on our Texas state parks! My girlfriend and I are new to the state parks, so you help us out a lot! One thing my lady is scared about is alligators. We reserved Choke Canyon park... signs said alligators. Have you seen a lot of them in state parks? Thanks again!
I appreciate y’all’s support!👍To answer your question, it really depends on the park you reserve. I personally have seen them at these state parks I’ve listed: Choke canyon, Huntsville, Brazos bend, Caddo lake… just to name a few. With that being said, we’ve never had an alligator come to our campsite. Brazos bend is the most active for alligators. You shouldn’t let that stop you from going to these great parks. Thanks for watching and enjoy y’all’s trip to choke canyon sp! 👍😎
Oh man! Sorry about the knee! This is a really nice park that didn’t look congested at all. I don’t get out that way much (which is to say at all) but when I do I’ll definitely check it out! Thanks for the video, brother!
Great review! Staying near there next week at Thousand Trails, so definitely will make a run to the state park to check it out. Thanks for your service.
Thank you so much!! 😃I hope y’all had a nice time at Thousand Trails and hope y’all checked out all Lake Tawakoni sp had to offer!😁 I appreciate you watching!👍😎
Hi there! 🙋♀️ Lake Whitney is one of our favorites! We love campsite # 17! We live about an hour out in Grandview Tx, and visit here often! We bring our dog and she LOVES walking and wading along the water! We usually bring a cover to set up over the picnic table since they are not covered. Thanks for sharing with us! Happy Camping!🙋♀️
I appreciate y’all watching!! That’s awesome that y’all live that close of about an hour from the state park!! I agree, Site 17 is such a great campsite! I Absolutely love the parks’ trail system and the lake is breathtaking. Lake Whitney is one of the parks on my list of favorite state parks in Texas!!😁 Happy camping and safe travels to y’all!👍😎
I really enjoyed the review of the park and do a nice job of showing what everything looks like boy the wind noise was terrible. Most of the time you couldn't hear what you were saying hopefully you fix that in future videos..
Nice video, brother! We'll be at Buescher next week. Site 19!! We have Lake Somerville planned in October as our first stop on a 3 park trip. Birch Creek. I'll check out Nails Creek while I'm there. See you at Blanco next month!
Hey Corey!! Thanks for watching!! Glad you have some fun trips lined up! Birch creek is awesome! I hope y’all have a great camping trip at Buescher sp in site 19! Can’t wait to meet you in person at blanco next month!👍😎
Garner seems aggressive about the slips but they sure don’t enforce quiet hours 😏. Looking forward to your Lake Colorado City SP video… I’m an Abilene State Park gal myself but I live close to it so maybe that’s why it’s my favorite….
lol😂 I totally agree about garner. I also can’t wait to get out to Abilene State Park hopefully soon! Lake Colorado City SP was so nice to camp and to relax at!! I appreciate you watching!👍😎
Texas parks and wildlife will take down sites for maintenance when necessary. Also, be sure to check the reservation site frequently for updates. Thanks for watching!👍😎
We’re watching your video here at Buescher Lake SP. we’ve been following your videos all year and currently working our way through the Texas state park system. Goal is to get our passport full of stamps.
We're going to Inks Lake in October of this year (2024) and staying in site #56. The state park info tells us that the site as water and 50amp power. We have a trailer that is 30 amp power. Do you (or anyone else) know if the pedestal has provision for 30 amp also? We need to know ahead of time! PS: Thanks for your video. It was good!
Hey Chris! My wife and I love your videos. Eisenhower and lake Livingston are our go tos. Super excited to know you will visit Eisenhower. Have a great time camping!!
Thanks! I always enjoy your videos. I wasn't aware of this park and definitely going to check it out. I have an inflatable kayak and it looks like a perfect place to take it!
Love your videos! Me and my hubby ride our motorcycles and camp! The goal is to hit all the state parks we can in Texas! Your videos are just so helpful!
