Old Style Classics Baseball Cards & Hobbies is my channel to show & talk about my hobbies and interests. This a sister page to my other channel RobsTvWorld. This page I will focus on my thoughts, ramblings on about my hobbies and other things. I am a huge Chicago Cubs fan and was born in Chicago. I have loved baseball my whole life, having gone to Cubs games as a kid with my Grandpa a huge Cub fan too. My favorite player and PC player is ANDRE DAWSON. He was my favorite player even before he was a Cub. I moved from Chicago to Albuquerque New Mexico before the 1st grade and grew up there. I love NM and the NM Lobos & other NM sports & NM history. I moved to the Bay Area California in 2011 to be with my now wife; we met in the 1st grade. I love Cards, Concerts, Sports, Events, Ticket Stubs, Autographs, History, and Topps Allen & Ginter cards are my favorite. I love Old Style Cards like Pre-war, Tobacco Minis Old & New, & I love Odd Ball product issue cards like MSA. So enjoy. TY! Rob.
To my understanding old style released a few years worth of cubs sets. And I love the ones you showed a few weeks ago. I always thought the Chicago logo was really cool on them. I have been trying to get all the Ryne Sandberg topps cards and collect cubs team sets through the years
Been wondering if you were going to talk about the old style cubs cards. I have been wanting them for years. Especially the 1992 set. Been watching your channel for a month now, attracted to the old style patch and oddball cards. Finally subscribed. I’m a lifelong Alabama native and huge cubs fan. Grew up watching them everyday with my grandparents on wgn. I really enjoy your channel
Thank you for the kind words and Sub. I didn't even know about the Old Style Cards until a few weeks ago. So once I saw them I had to get them, but it didn't have my Man Andre Dawson in it. DagNabIt!! I'll get it sometime. Are you saying there is a 92 Old Style set or talking about the Marathon one I showed? If you go back to Nov. videos I show some Wrigley Field Old Style Cubs cans, from when my Mom passed. I ran home from school everyday to watch the Cubs on WGN too. My Grandpa bought one of those giant satellite dishes just so he could watch the Cubs on WGN. Rob.
Like #4 . I’m certainly am aware of the X files place in tv history but for some reason never watched a lot of episodes. I really like the theme song. I just finished watching breaking bad and really enjoyed it. Never connected him to the X files/ cool. Cool autos/ it’s always a fun hunt as opposed to buying them on EBay. I always enjoy your variety. Thanks for sharing and Good Collecting 👍❤️
Thanks, I love cards. Yeah X files bounces between overall story line and stand alone shows, so it's probably better to binge. Did you draw a winner yet? Thank you Rob, Rob! LOL
I pack pulled a Burt Reynolds show used relic, and my wife pulled his autograph, and I sold them a couple of years ago 🤦♂️ I absolutely love X-Files and honestly I would love to buy all these autographs and would love to find some unopened boxes to rip. I have tons of X-Files collectibles.
@OldStyleClassicsBaseball-cd3tm thanks. I been working 7 days again. Good on the wallet not so good on my 47 year old body🤣 I'm still super collecting Yoan Moncada and a couple other bums🤣
Thanks Rob for the shout out and showing those cool Hogan cards! Full disclosure, when you showed those TNA woman’s wrestling cards last week, I thought you were saying T&A . Which seemed to make perfect sense. Congrats on your weight loss. I need to do thie same thing! Did you get a chance to check out the Netflix series called Wrestling about the OVW out of Ohio run by Al Snow? It’s really good. Great auto wrestling cards!m and ticket stub! Thanks for sharing and Good Collecting👍❤️
@@OldStyleClassicsBaseball-cd3tm lol- that’s for sure. Yeah, I get it about Netflix. Put it on the back burner. Maybe at some point it will show up on another platform.
@@OldStyleClassicsBaseball-cd3tm Second test to see if my replies disappear. I've been trying to give you my contact info and I think adding an email prevents them from appearing.
Some amazing visitors- Rob, lol. I didn’t collect junk wax either. Ellsburry had some good years- nice card! Not familiar with T&A wrestling but that is a gorgeous card. I remember the gorgeous ladies of wrestling- GLOW. Fun video- thanks for sharing 👍❤️
1978, I was 9 years old then. Nice can, glad you got it, Rob. Loved RC Cola and Sarsi, it was cheaper than Coke or Pepsi. Those Little League cards are great too. Hi Pam!
Tool!! 10,000 Days Epic. That is a good idea, you should check out @in-card-neetosportscards video showing Oscar Myer Bologna Cards they are pretty bad, so bad they are Awesome. I don't have any though.
I know a set that doesnt get talked about, there was a 1991 donruss aqueous set. Ive heard and read MANY stories throughout the years about why the set was created, why they decided not to follow through with the set, and why some aqueous test cards wound up in regular donruss packs. Keep up the good videos dude.
@@OldStyleClassicsBaseball-cd3tm Lol it’s just to show you got a full watch on a longer video. I know a few people who do that so I started doing it as well. I do it for videos over 10 mins.
Love the Old Style patch by the way. I was picking up beer patches for awhile and still have a nice bag of them. Cool Dawson. Thanks for the sub, welcome to the RU-vid community!
Love the Dukes cards! I have a nice cache of the same era of minor league cards that I’ve been showing. The Jeffery Daumer glasses and mustaches are endless in these! I think my guy Orel Hershiser was an Albuquerque Duke at one point? I came your way from my guy Rob the Commenting Collector!
I never particularly collected soccer stuff here in México but I have some not-so common smallish cards kind of like what you got in Cracker Jacks. For instance, I have a metallic sticker still stuck inside the wrapper of a chocolate bar, some weirdly shaped tazos and the rare 2.5x3.5 card.
Nice quintet of stars there: Simms, Kramer,Dorsett, Tippett and Lipps. The pointer's a chopstick, I don't know what the other thing is:). Hi to the missus and thanks Rob. I remember we used to read whatever's on the cereal box.
Me to couldn't wait to get home and tear open the box, before my brothers could. I let the little lady know thanks, I liked eating Wheaties straight out of the box by hand.
Congratulations you won, you were the only to Crack the Code, the only person to bother trying. LOL! So what or who in Baseball do you collect? I'll see if I can find something extra, but you definitely won the Sportkings Volume 5 base box. I have a few extra's I'll though in. Let me know what you like. Like if it were me I like Andre Dawson, Topps Allen & Ginter, and Oddballs. Thanks! I'll need your info. email to get you info, and you can send me your shipping address.
Great VR, Rob! Those Obak’s are wonderful! They are trashy cards that are worthy of being proud of for sure! I appreciate the shout and kind words! Thanks tor participating! I enjoy your channel and it will be fun to grow together in the community. Good luck in the contest and Good Collecting 👍❤️
Schmidt as the main back in the day/ like the food cards. I saw Seaver pitch live when he was with the White Sox. Nice odd ball showcase-thanks for sharing and Good Collectibg👍❤️
Pretty cool oddball cards. Most of mine have arrived randomly on flea market boxes. From those, I have the Phillies Coca-Cola 12 card set, some of the Coca Cola Ryans and and missing about five of the KMart 20th anniversary set. I had a hard time finding oddball cards in the 80's so they are always a welcome addition.
