Thank you for this video, Rob! Its so good to finally go to conventions again. My wife and I actually went to one of the big local toycons recently and man, even with inflation I still managed to spend a lot (The last time I splurged on a con was before the pandemic) on Gundam kits. I live in Manila so Bandai stuff aren't as expensive. I even bought some tools and started kitbashing. I'm always a sucker for small vintage transforming toys like that Robot Racer on 7:18. and of course, tiny diecast Japanese robots.
These are cool Rob! You definitely have to get more gashapons, they're probably the coolest stuff Japan makes. There are even more tiny kits like Rabbit Voic, like SD mecha girls or Gundams. I can also recommend getting candy toys, usually they're either small kits of characters like Fort Max or Powermaster Optimus Prime that you can build.
I can still remember the "Be Kind Rewind" stickers on all the tapes, and the 50 cent charge if you were rude and forgot. Normally I'd rewind half way so it only cost me 25 cents. Sticking it to the man!
Hey Rob... that Disney game/toy hybrid was called Disney Infinity... surprised that it died down as quick as it did, especially when Infinity started working the Disneyverse corporate synergy in full (I. e. the MCU and Star Wars "unAmiibos")
I have the captain america, 2 punishers , super possible spidey, uncanny x men wolverine, iron man , 3 venoms , magneto, doc ock , green goblin, hobgoblin , and lizard .
Try the double tab technique for the claw machines. (Tap the button a second time right before the claw touches the floor of the enclosure.) Sometimes it creates a firmer grab on the plush.
When I first saw the blue teddy bear, I thought the shapes on its shirt said 'Dad.' Also the spitting dinosaur from "Jurassic Park" is called Dilophosaurus. I'd love to get a plushie like that.
Just left. It was very sad. Place is deteriorating. No arcade, no amusement, no car collection, outdoor sellers are barely hanging on and indoor kiosks are mostly sitting around. Talked to some vendors and they blamed it on the wife after the owner died.
What the hell? After more than 30 years, I've only just realized in your video that there isn't a mask on Spring Heeled Jack's face. It's flames radiating from his eyes.
Just seeing some of those old toys makes me feel nostalgic, especially the Beanie Babies and Pokémon plushies. I'm sorry the heat was wearing you down, though. Hope you're feeling better man.
Some would believe that seeing this video means Rob made it back alright. Others might scream "FOUND FOOTAGE" and concoct an elaborate story of how it was somehow uploaded to his channel having never made it home. Still others might shrug their shoulders and exclaim, "It's Florida! Who knows?". Most others would ask themselves at this point if my ramblings had any purpose. Alas, they do not.
First off, New Mutants and Wolverine comics underneath those games. Would have taken New Mutants. And I also called that fidget spinner number. Still active.
thank you for showing all of these in action, I'm finally able to identify the mystery toy I had as a kid as a Battle Bird. I recall I also had a Lunar Invader. Now if only I could figure out the mysterious bulky yellow squirt gun I had that popped open to reveal an eyeball (that squirted water at your target) when you squeezed the trigger...
