We’ve been watching your portofino update videos since your first major update video back in April or May. The great info made us cancel a stay for a late May trip and rebook the Hard Rock for late May. Thanks to your progression videos, we felt good about the progress and we booked a 5 night trip this Dec . I do have a quick question. Does Portofino offer the multi day coke freestyle cups like Royal Pacific does. Were you can pay one price for a 1, 2 or length of stay price points?
Thank you so much for watching. I do not know the answer to your question. I have seen the freestyle machines in the Tuk Tuk Grab and go. I only know of one machine like that and it is in Sal's. That would be a long distance to walk to for drinks. I do not think they do.
Was a really long wait for bus on both days we had to use due to lightning 😢 I was surprised at the wait. Hope you didn’t get too much storm damage at home in N.C
It can be a very long wait. I only have used it to check the times on it. Took about 30 minutes to go from city walk to Portofino that included waitingvon a bus to pick us up. So much quicker to walk.
I hate driving i95 in Florida. My parents lived in N. Miami Bch, then Broward County. And always tire parts on the road. Not to mention the crazy drivers.
I'm enjoying seeing the progress each week. They are having a Hsrbor nights October 18th. I'm thinking they are thinking harbor will be finished at that time.

I just called the front desk at Portofino and they said it was a permanent closure. They are remaking it into more of the style of Portofino, but they may still handle Starbucks products.

Thanks for the update and apologies. A few months ago, I may have given you some inaccurate info. We had comms from hotel saying the harbour would be complete by end of July and they would only be working on one pool at a time.
Here now for the week and obviously not the case. Although the newly refurbed things are so fresh and vibrant. Have to say that after being at the Villa pool and beach pool, the work really is not intrusive. The Villa pool is still quiet despite a lot of scaffolding up. So happy we didn’t change resorts
It's all good. Pools themselves are not affected at all. It is really only how they look from the pools. The renovation will be going on into the spring. They have a big food and wine event on October 18th in the harbour. I do not think they would have scheduled that if harbor was not going to be finished.
@@BigtimeMyrtleBeach it’s 6 years since we stayed here last and the harbour looks really good now. The Club lounge has also changed immeasurably. For the better I might add. Stayed several times club at RPR and HRH and this the best imo
Thanks for the tour of path behind East Wing! We stayed in the East Wing once but never explored that path! Love the Portofino gift shop! We always come to Sals for a lunch or dinner no matter which resort we stay at, Sals is a must! Love the pizza, subs and the soup is great too! One thing I wish was for the Beach Pool to have more umbrellas! Home 2 weeks and miss Portofino! Envy you being able to pop down anytime! Hard to do from the west coast!

Barefoot Landing is WONDERFUL! Just 10 miles north off 17, down behind the Taco Bell, you can actually buy a REALLY sweet home for under $125,000, which is unheard of, and be that close to everything living in an awesome neighborhood!
it’s not unusual to see a raccoon deer in the day just not probable. Most of them sleep at daytime and rummage by night. But raccoons do rummage by day as well I know I’ve got a few hits my garbage. And they do swim. Probably nothing wrong with.
Yes they do rummage during the day. Most of my experiences with them during the day are they are sick or have rabies. We do get a lot of wildlife on the golf course. We had about 14 turkey last year. Counted 8von my way to the magic kingdom yesterday not far from the employee parking area.
Super bummed Starbucks is closed now. Was looking forward to my morning coffee this coming weekend. Do they serve espresso at Sal’s? I don’t drink regular drip coffee. Also, is the gelato place closed too? I know it was connected to the Starbucks. Thanks!

When we walked along east wing, and you could see it in your video, some of the windows don’t have the small square panes. Is this new? I never noticed before.

Club level is amazing! It is totally worth it when price is right. Our next visit it doesn’t make sense as the cost is more than we spend going out in the parks/restaurants. Larger families it’s definitely worth it price wise.
I agree with you completely. Booking at the signature resorts makes a lot of sense. You get a lot of bang for your buck with them. Love that they come with the express passes.

@BigtimeMyrtleBeach yes everything is going really well. I'm preparing to go to Brazil in less than a month to see my wife and stepchildren. I'm very excited to do this.
@BigtimeMyrtleBeach Rhe best place to go is Big fire restaurant. There, they even have pappy van Winkle if you really want to go above and beyond. They have amazing smoked old fashions there, and that could give you some really cool content to film. That restaurant is also my favorite place out of all the restaurants on property. I would definitely try to sit at the bar so you can film the way they smoke the old fashion and then enjoy their delicious food. The smoked trout is amazing if it is still on the menu.
