The footage is great and the cars coupled with the high talent in drivers makes this such a wonderful viewing experience, however I have to say, I’m disappointed in the verbal diarrhoea from the American commentators who for me, almost spoil this experience. I’ve actually got my finger on the mute button as at times they simply don’t shut up ! There’s always a need to commentate but let’s focus more on the cars with maybe some in car camera footage. The level of talking over what is brilliant viewing sadly is probably going to see me switch this off.
I kept scrolling to hopefully find footage of the cars actually running and couldn’t. Jumped in the comments and found similar frustrations from others interested in the hill climb. Stopped watching.
rob dahm did a good time considering. definitely needs some fine tuning on the suspension and probably some turbo setup changes as well seemed to lag a bit just based on what I see.

More coverage of the runs and time stamps for classes and highlights would be greatly appreciated. This coverage is really difficult to watch otherwise.
I was so looking forward to seeing this event this year. I caught up with this live stream over the last couple of days and what a massive disappointment it was. It seemed like more of a sponsors talk fest than a motorsport event. Camera shots of roads with no cars on them, and helicopter images continuously breaking up were laughable. I would rather know about the cars going up the climb, would love to actually see the cars going up the whole course, and since the winner is the quickest car, would love to know the timing of the car going up the course. In some cases, cars finished and crossed the line and the times were not even given??Track conditions like red flags were not even updated. Only minutes later there is mention of some sort of delay that was vague at best. I was following Ryan Cheek's x-cart and she literally disappeared off the mountain, with an hour later saying she had a mechanical and was ok. This is ridiculous. Will probably not waste my time on this next year.
Well, he did say a few times the car finished at 14k feet, and the altitude is way more important than the time....Also, instead of watching cars going around corners, it was more exciting to show a stationary car at the start line for a few minutes while telling you the relationship between the driver and the guy holding the flag.
Always fun to watch. If we could get less talking heads, more camera shots, on boards, and some telemetrics it would be much, much, much better. This stream looks almost like a practice day or something. There's just too many super wide shots and waaaaay too many shots of people talking while cars are on the course.
Glad more camera time with the cars on the track with more drone shots for the fans to know where there favorite teams are at in the way to complete the mountain.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
There has a lot of killer cars that make good horsepower and paint schemes and despite 5 or 6 D.N.F. delays. This year's version has more finishers than D.N.F.s to the mountain. Congratulations 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Was at the event, and was pretty clear the coverage would be pretty spotty of actual cars racing up the mountain. Helo usually didn't come too far up the mountain, and spotted only a few on-course camera points. While the interviews were sometimes interesting, to me would have been more interesting to get more commentary and footage of the actual racing...especially when was rough to understand what happened when red flags came out, was hoping for more actual info on the coverage, which isn't happening with this style of interview-heavy footage.
Hey, I'm the announcer from the stage - it was tough for me too. The communication between the trackside teams and the broadcast team could certainly be improved and I'll make sure to note this with the team for next year. I promise every time I got an update (that I was told I could share), I shared it, but often they hold back info until they're ready for us to publicize it. I don't really like to speculate, so I don't say much until I'm updated. Also, the graphics are supposed to show the flag conditions but something from the timing system wasn't talking right to the graphics. I hope it was at least an improvement from last year though, the amount of effort that goes into this show is staggering, it really is just that hard to broadcast here, hah
@@fizzcochitoLOL yep we did the same - tried to stand next to course workers and EMTs because the FM coverage was it good and live prodcast not focused on the racing.
@@SYMTVbroadcastingappreciate the inside color and totally understand that your role can only act on what you receive. And yes, massive undertaking. I believe/hope that through constructive feedback that the organizers can improve next time. Seems like enough voice around wanting to see the racing that they may listen! Backstories live forever, live racing is an in-the-moment thing!
