This is not an original cabin from when the ship was in service. all the 2nd and 3rd class cabins were ripped out after the ship arrived in Long Beach. New larger rooms with bathrooms were constructed in areas that had been 2nd class cabins. The white painted walls are a dead giveaway.
Many years ago (before Covid) we were booked on the Vista and our cruise was cancelled due to engine trouble. We all got full refunds, 100% FCC, AND $600 OC. Then Covid happened… fast forward to 2022. We finally used our credits but we went with the beautiful Mardi Gras. It was worth the wait!
The Vista, has been in service since 2016. During Covid, there was an attempt to wet dock the ship. It was unsuccessful. When I was on my cruise from 08/05/23 to 08/12/23 the engine broke, for 1 1/2 hours and we were floating to Cuba, and the Sewage on deck 7 busted
The worker with the bucket name is demetro he was my room keeper this September I was on the 6th floor to the left where he just walked. He is a good dude super nice.
We heard a pipe ruptured in the ceiling on the deck above. The crew stopped the leak and quickly cleaned it up. It didn't have an impact on our ability to have a lovely vacation. The Vista is a beautiful ship. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
@@coffeewithcarolyntravels5789 Yes I have. The water coming down the stairs reminds me of when Jack and Rose were running from love joy and hid in the hallway with water flowing down the steps! It looked exactly like your video! It's super cool!
The Vista is a beautiful ship. However, she is in need of maintenance. We are looking forward to having a new Carnival ship porting in Galveston. The Carnival Jubilee is scheduled to begin sailing out of Galveston November 2023! 🤗
We just returned from the new Carnival Marty Gras. Horrible designed ship, not enough seats at entertainment venues, room in pools and hot tubs nor the staff to properly accommodate the 5000 to 6300 passengers. Thus stay away from the new XL class of ships. Being on the Vista in 2017, a wonderful beautiful ship but needs significant heavy maintenance as it was the first of the Vista class ships. Suggest booking on the Horizon or Panorama.
@@icare7151 I agree that the Vista is a beautiful ship. We are going to cruise back to back on the Jubilee in the Havana area and then in a balcony. I hope we have a better experience than you did on the Mardi Gras.
We came in from the Havana pool area at 10:40 p.m. We forgot all about a snack when saw the water flowing down the stairs and elevators. We immediately reported it to the Havana bar crew and then came back to take the video.
