True! I talk about this in the review. The case and orange strap are def aligned...but that's where the similarities end. If only the Aquanaut had a big date complication...then I might consider it! 😁😆😎💸
@@D3athN0t3 visits to the boutique are by appointment only. I just filled out the Contact Us form on the web site and Alan got right back to me. Interesting about the drilled lugs...I think they are a cool retro look and make bracelet changes easier but some don't like holes in the case. Also, his straps come with quick release spring bars. What do you like about drilled lugs?
Is the head of the watch Bronze or Rose Gold? I have v1 (#173/423) of the 300m Torsk-Diver with a silhouette of the submarine below the pinion at 6:00 o'clock.
It's Bronze. It's my first Bronze watch and I really like it. It seems to be finished pretty well also as it hasn't tarnished much but I'm sortof looking forward to that. Apparently, Bronze is about 10% more dense than steel which would explain why it felt a bit heavy with a big Bronze clasp - don't get me wrong there's definitely a place for it but when I'm doing stuff like typing a lot the clasp can get in the way. The Delugs or any minimal clasp with FKM would do nicely I think. I also think Bronze looks really great with leather...just can't wrap my mind around leather with a dive watch...even though most folks that wear dive watches don't actually dive I do swim a lot as a boater and someone who lives on the water. Thank you for commenting!
Love this watch. Plan to buy it next month when I’m near an Omega shop. The only thing I would prefer is the five minute markers be a tiny bit bigger (wider). Having compared the white and black dial versions side by side it does subtly impact the appearance.
I've atleast seen 6-8 people who bought Breitling watches because of that 'Sketchy Dudes' video. It's good storytelling but this is great for those who don't want overcrowded dials.
I would love to see the Hamilton Khaki Field watch. I had the quartz version of the Hamilton field watch and sold it as it felt too small at the time. For Microbrands, Brew, Nodus, Riley are all cool looking. I was lucky enough to get a Nodus watch in for review awhile back. Your microbrand looks cool, I had to cheat to find the make/model but not sharing. Thanks for another awesome video.
Khaki Field it is! I love that watch. I have a Brew Metric Retro and like what Nodus is doing as well! I'll reveal the micro in the video tomorrow...it's a pretty unique piece and watch brand! Thanks for your comment!
Great video Matt, looking forward to more content in the future. Love the idea of the ‘guess the watch’ segment, as well as the giveaways would be amazing. I think that the ‘guess the watch’ segment would me along with other viewers that are beginners in the watch world learn more about different styles and types of watches. I also wanted to say that i would love to see a review of the Mido, seems really nice. Also, have no idea what that blue dial watch is, do you have any other tips or “clues” about it, to help me out? Thanks
Thanks and yours is the second request for the Mido review. I'll definitely get into that on the channel soon! Have a great day and I hope your dial makes you smile!
Hey man, great video, wanted hear what you thought about Maen watches, Im a highschool student saving up for a nice watch, do you have any suggestions. Also wanted to say that at least for my taste audio quality is usually makes me want to continue watching a video or clicking off. Its alot nicer in my opinion hearing someones voice clearly. Loved the video man looking forward to more in the future!!
Hey Anthony - thanks for your comments! Now we're getting into the good stuff re: a brand to get started with. In short, I DO like Maen a lot. I have been interested in the Manhattan for quite some time but their models tend to run smaller and I have an 8" wrist so I tend to stick with 40mm+. I think both the Manhattan and the Lunar Classic look great though and the Manhattan in particular has a very striking modern look that would be cool for a young person IMO - the integrated bracelet and rectangular dial bring in a lot of different influences. Awesome dial colorways as well. How big is your wrist and what other watches do you have? Maen seems to run around $1K which isn't exactly entry level...there's a lot of amazing stuff out there for $1K! The Hudson is also nice but if you're looking for a dive or GMT watch there's a lot at that price point! One final question - how was the audio on my video? I used a lavalier mic and it seemed pretty good in my test runs... Regards, Matt
Hey Matt, thanks for the response and the feedback on Maen, Im pretty new when it comes to watches and currently have a simple Casio W218HD-1AV that my dad got me a couple weeks ago, it’s nice and does it’s job great, i’ve been enjoying it quite a bit so far. I’m not exactly sure how big my wrist is but I like how my Casio fits me. And the audio was great, i enjoyed the video alot. Thanks
