Wow, the double stop harmonics are so touching. I'm amazed by this piece. You clearly use contemporary techniques but in such a soundful way. They don't take on the usual rough sound we are used to hearing with modern playing. Good job! I could see myself returning to this peoce again ;)

Wonderful piece and a beautiful rendition! I'm just curious, however - why the odd high-voice section? Did the commissioning choir really had no altos?

I have been looking for a piece like this for a very long time. I was never completely satisfied with the contemporary classical pieces featuring the electric guitar, until now. It's really interesting how it sort of reminds of a string quartet: the pencil as playing "col legno" and the ebow and the volume swells as playing with the bow. Very clever use of glissandi with bottleneck. A super tasteful and expressive use of the effects, always very musical and natural. And of course the development of the musical material works really well, also reminescent of a piece for string quartet in many ways. Did I already say that I like it? Good job!
