Ron Evans leadership didn't give a shit when i was 11 years old when they cut off my mom's hydro, i would go to the band office to talk to the old leadership trying to get them to turn on my moms hydro but they wouldn't just bc she had to pay the full amount of her hydro bill. I know my mom would pay hydro 100-200$ at a time bc she was a single mother and had to buy other needs. I lived in my moms house with no hydro from age 11-14 years old and nobody cared, even when this video was published i was 13 years old living in a cold house all through spring, summer, fall, winter so shame on Ron Evans leadership. In 2017 my mom's house burnt and im sure it burnt bc the extension cords we were using that were plugged into my grandparents watershed outlet to plug in our mini heaters over heated when no-one was home and cought on fire, i lost everything i owned including my late fathers will and that shit hurt but then again no-one cared. 🤦
You are just a number! There is no pay scale. You are just an ass in the seat that's all that matters. You could be their best operator and get payed less then the guy they just hired with little to no experience.
@@johndoe-np6te That sucks then . I would have thought better of that company , though I have no first hand knowledge. I read Svein Sigfusson's book . Very interesting. Unfortunate that things have deteriorated there to that point. ( It sounds similar to the trucking industry and in particular that company that I drove for, which shall remain nameless. ( think " buffalo " :-(
Thank you for posting the video! So why the barrier between a potential homeowner on the reserve and the banks? The banks can not reposes anything on private land. A reserve is private land and not owned by the government. The banks would want Norway House to co-sign for house’s on the reserve in case the homeowner does not pay for their mortgage. With Norway House being a co-signer the banks will go after them for the money. Otherwise you could get a mortgage for a house, have it on private land and never pay for it. Everyone support and keep posting videos like this for more exposure. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!!

By the way, when you do get around to getting houses renovated, could your workers be more considerate of the people living there and NOT throw away ALL their stuff (that isn't even garbage) at the dump? You can seriously put stuff to the middle of the room to take the dry wall off. There have been people that lost their bed frames, large furniture, photos and irreplaceable belongings. They can't take everything to their temporary home away from home. The band doesn't even help them find a place to stay, just forced to get out fast with what they can take and find a friend or relative to stay with while they wait a long time for their house to finally get renovated. WHEN it comes time. They often don't even finish these houses, just do things half-assed for some and a great job for their favorites.
Now that they HAVE this money because of this video, many people were put on the list for repairs....HOWEVER, their houses are STILL not repaired yet. Even though they were told it would get done in 2016. They claim not to have enough supplies and not enough carpenters/help. So where did all this money go??? Theres a house that hasn't been finished across from the multi-plex on Rowden's Bay. Its been like that for over a year.
Shame on Ron Evans leadership. Im from nwh and i lived in my moms house with no hydro from age 11-14 before it burnt, even when this video was published i was 13 years old living in my moms house with no hydro and Ron's leadership didn't care
