"Building a homemade full size CNC Machine" is the first DIY project on this channel.
It was early 2020 when I saw the video from @GokmenALTUNTAS: "Building a small router". It got my intention right away. Searching for other DIY CNC I got inspired by @DIYBuilds for the building of a CNC machine and by Roger Webb (@rogerwebb9600) who explains the electrical part of the building very clearly!
Finally, I decided to build my own :)
With "DIY CNC ZONE" I hope to be able to inspire you in the same way others inspired me.
It´s my objective to offer you a complete overview of all different aspects that comes with the building of a homemade CNC.
I wish you many hours of informative and entertaining pleasure @DIYCNCZONE.
Watching a movie, I do appreciate you leaving a comment and/or like. If you want to support our channel, please subscribe and click the bell! Lots of videos to come and you´ll be one of the first to watch!
Really impressed by your build man ! Congratulations !!! You can be so proud of yourself. Plus you managed to do it with cheap materials. Congrats !!!!
This is a waste of time and materials. The hardened steel balls inside the bearing blocks will dig into aluminum in no time. Even the cheapest linear rails are made of steel that is hardened on the surface to withstand the pressure of the balls riding on the rails.
Bought used ones on zon supper cheap.. Might check there first before all of the extra work as @mattivirta stated the tubing is to soft for this application. Might use one on a saw horse, so when you cut another one you have something to slide to for all that 2x4 weight..
Great idea! Not seen that before. Others use bolts and washers and spanners but using the hammer means you can hold it with one hand and use a drill with hex socket in the other to tighten up. Will have to try it!
Thanks! I do often wonder if the same type of solution is available in other branches or in different cheaper parts. Sometimes it doesn't work but luckily sometimes it does :)
alumin tube not relevan too soft to bearing rail, and how screw tube to wood not crack wood bracket, need be stainless steel tube and pre driller holes to screw all wood and tube. interesting idea make cheap rail, but this not work long, aluminium have worst tube. i need 4 pcs 1200mm rails but budget no can buy and no place were make wood work now.
Thank you for your honest feedback, I appreciate it. I will follow the possible wearing closely and already learned how to solve it, if necessary. Thank you!
