This is great!!! I followed your link from the Facebook article and I am very glad I did. I totally forgot how amazing this place was. Thanks for putting these videos together for everybody to see. 8)
Excellent footage, and the music epitomizes California in 1964. Who did the tune, I'm familiar with the Ventures and the Tornados, but don't recognize it. I remember the flying saucer ride, as well. Thanks so much for posting, i really enjoyed it!
Nice to see this, Disneyland how it looked, before I was born. My uncle was Park Operations Manager at Disneyland from 1956-61, supervising over 1,000 employees, and reporting directly to Walt. The music you selected is great, as well, well done, and thanks for sharing your pictures.
Still a marvelous and exciting epoch when this was filmed. A once beautiful and admirable city that is now severely marred by overpopulation, excessive permissiveness and destructive woke agendas. Last saw San Francisco in 1996 and could see and feel the decline then.
Yeah I was there in 2019 and... its a mess to say the least. They managed to rebuild into a long lasting golden age about a century ago, perhaps the city will come back to its former glory some day.
Worked at lettermen army medical center in the presidio from 1977-94- than u.s park service alcatraz island 94-2018, I'm the only one who knows how to repair the prison cell doors so a few times a year I go on the island to keep them operating thanks! P.s I'm still living in the city
Grew up in The City. During the ‘50’s I had to listen to all the old standards and big band music on KSFO with my parents. Then, luckily, in my early teens I discovered KEWB. Rock and Roll!!!! Later KFRC. Then at the end of the ‘60’s into the early ‘70’s there were the underground FM stations KMPX and KSAN.
Thanks, friend. I have a bunch of these "films" that have been converted. Most are family but I'm trying to put the ones with theme parks, or city sights up. I have several going up soon
