The included airfare has been changed now so you actually pay for it if you want it included. Also the excursions are not readily available. They opened today on my cruise and the free ones are booked out. I contacted my cruise contact at Regent and was told one of them only has availability for 12 people. So beware of promises.
Ship's internet BLOCKS Google Docs, Google Sheets, all VPNs, Microsoft Outlook, Google Maps and many other productivity sites. Unless you're retired or won the lottery, DO NOT step foot on this ship if you have a real job and need to do any work whatsoever.
I agree with you on this point - I don't like tiered packages which restrict usage; I'd much prefer one package which does everything. My WiFi wasn't great during my time onboard. I would hope this is sorted by now!
No supplement to pay ..I'm on the ship at the moment. 14 night cruise , one show runs for the first 7 days , then a new show for the next 7 . Very good concept, much enjoyed the evening, and the audience participation.
Thank You for the wonderful video ! Im a Platinum level Cunard cruise member and have been on all three of the other Queens. I’m booked for the January 2025 Transatlantic Maiden Voyage of the Queen Anne . I know that I’ll will enjoy the voyage tremendously! I’ve always dreamed of travelling on a transatlantic maiden voyage of a Cunard ship. BUT••• honestly I’m not thrilled with the decor of the Queen Anne! The Britannia Dining Room and Grand Lobby are beautiful! But the other rooms leave me cold. Queens Room is border line ugly! Promenade Deck is too narrow, no deck chairs and lifeboats are hung so low that you can only take in the ocean view from just two small areas !?!?. I’ve already decided that my Queen Anne maiden voyage will be my first and LAST times on Anne !!! After that, I’m only going to sail on Queen Mary 2 , Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth !!
We had a great time onboard, but it was a whirlwind 24 hours! Can't wait to see what our clients think of her. Are YOU excited by the type of onboard experience Queen Anne offers? Or is there anything else you'd like to know? Leave any questions in the comments and we'll get back to you 😄
Hi I’m considering the Vega for Antarctica. Not sure whether to get a deck 4 midship cabin without balcony or midship deck 5 with balcony. Difference is £2700 in total. Is it worth it?
I spent the last week on this same question. Read a lot about it and decided to go with balcony. Paid USD 1800 more for it... But I think it is worth it... See the landscapes, wildlife, photos, breakfast and hot chocolate.. All without having to dress up and go to the public areas....
I would think that the tall, skinny storage place would be perfect for camera equipment. Put in a washcloth to pad lenses and they'd fit well. I've been on 8 World Cruises on Silversea and we all have masses of electronics. We'll be on the Dawn in 2025 and I look forward to clearing off the big desk. All of us take magnets and use them to hold jewelry, tickets, the Chronicle, etc on the wonderful metal walls. In 5 months on the ship, we accumulate a lot!
Regent ships look amazing, some great amenities but the food is not up to luxurious standards, very inconstant. Also management and employees have attitude problems, if there are any issues they blame the guests and will not resolve the issues.
In all honesty, it was fantastic! The crew were extremely accommodating throughout; even bringing warm milk each evening for bedtime. They also gave her a wristband, so she was trackable should she wander off (thankfully this didn't happen!) Mealtimes were equally impressive; they tailored the menu for her and even brought out some playdough to keep her occupied. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to take my daughter on an Explora Journeys cruise again - it's great to know there's a luxury operator that really does cater to everyone.
I was supposed to be onboard the first inaugural, I'm particularly interested in the Journeys Lounge, what kind of entertainment they are providing in that Lounge and if it is going to support dancing? Thanks for your help.
Hello! My voyage has only been a short one, however, I've spend a couple of evenings in the Journeys Lounge watching the performances. Last night, we had a musical production performed by the entertainment team (including the Cruise Director), and people were up and dancing! Hope this helps!
@@ABAtrading The original inaugural cruise was supposed to start july 16th, a material failure postponed the launch and they canceled the first cruise.
Interesting video which I did enjoy. However a few observations. You say Regent is unrivalled luxury etc and I agree with luxurious. However been look at the wine lists and the wines I looked up ( I did not check them all but did check on shore prices in Australia) The ones I checked are relatively cheap wines so nothing luxurious about them and certainly the luxury or the price of the cruise is not reflected in the wines. Also remember retailers and wholesalers om shore have paid taxes and duty on not just the wines bt all drinks an food onboard but cruise lines would not normally pay the tax or duty so the wines I checked are lower priced wines. Then it is great that all is included but what about this e people who do not drink is there a price they should pay at a cheaper price if non drinkers? Many cruise Ines give them selves stars. The bible for cruise ships is Douglas Ward; Berlitz Cruising and cruise ships. Douglas Ward is English an they rate Regent Explorer as 4 stars plus as they do rest of the Regent ships. As there are no 6 star hotels in the USA then there cannot be ny 6 str ships surely. There are only 2 5 start ships in the world an they are both German owns by Hapag Lloyd The are Europa and Europe 2 both 5 stars plus. Regent is great but cruise fares are way way overpriced.
Thanks for this. Most ship tours skip cabins, for obvious reasons of course, but it is helpful to get a look at an actual cabin - brochure photos can be misleading
Well I understand this lady has moved onto Cunard, bit I wonder how people not just this lady manage to get these executive positions when they do not even know or understand the English language. The mind boggles. So many of these people here keep referring to dining in such as the MDR or Buffet as complimentary. They do not seem to realise that this means free, but the MDR and buffet is not free it is paid for in your cruise fare. Then this lady states free prepaid gratuities. How can they be free if as she says they are pre paid. Wish people would say nothing until they even know what they are talking about.
Well one can dream !, last one I went aboard on was a school Mediterranean cruise in 1972 on SS UGANDA aged 12 years, was home sick and didn’t enjoy anything as I think I was too young, also the bay of biscay crossing was horrendous 🤢🤮 lol well I’m still always dreaming of my next proper voyage as it hasn’t put me off although I’m 64 now so unless I win the lottery I think it Will always be my dream 😊 beautiful ship though 😊
A tip for those boarding ship: You often need to wait a bit while your luggage is brought to your suite. Most everyone heads directly to La Terrazza for lunch, but instead, go to Atlantide for a less-populated, quieter lunch on that busy first day.
Hi Shatmistha, Thanks for asking There is space under the bed to store your luggage. All though I travelled alone I would say there is plenty of space for 2 travelling together to store suitcases. If you have any other questions, we’d be more than happy to help. Add them here or you can call one of our Voyage Consultants on 0800 008 6677.
