Hi everyone, my name is Korbin and I love the outdoors and all of the gear, training and learning that goes into it! I live in the great state of Utah, 20 minutes from the Wasatch Mountain Range. If you so graciously decide to subscribe to my channel, you can expect to see backpacking, hiking, bushcrafting and gear review videos and nature presented to you in a raw and organic way. I love creating videos that make YOU feel something. Thank you for checking out my channel! Cheers
Why wear the light on your head? If you have the light source lower (waist height) it's much less likely to shine the light directly into someones eyes. You might sill want to have a headlamp with red light (that doesn't blind others) to see what's in front of your face and torso. But a white headlamp seems to be an overkill. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
So are you still pulling hard ? I ate drank and slept every waking moment fully engaged in climbing from about 1992-2004 and sporadically until 06... Self taught went on to summit a few Zion walls, obscure adventure climbing (Storm Mountain proper being one of those and commented about on your Mule Hollow video ) , some Tetons and spent hundreds of days in Big, Little, Lone Peak and Bells .... even dabbled in ice for a while.... Well fast forward my best and only friend in the end my brother who was my one and only climbing partner died, I'm now fifty and don't climb anymore but am glad I lived long enough to look back to all those gripped and awesome times we had; the good, the bad and the ugly....in and on some of God's finest sculpture'in...... never did make it to this place you showcased here, but spent time at Snow Canyon... I hope all is well with you and yours n' God bless brother in these strange and difficult times we are living in.
Given that the climbing community is dominated by liberals, it's nice to see firearms amongst this group of folks... I use to have a Bosch hammer drill when I was much younger... If this were as times past in my climbing endeavors I would try and squeeze a route in and around the popular Ruth lake cliff... The name of the route.... _9MM Carabiner..._ .... in tribute of this very well produced video of folks enjoying some of God's finest sculpture'in... Interesting side note : within the last few months the Federal government wants to ban bolts in the National Forrests, the liberals vote for liberals because they hate multi use like motorcycles and want to ban them everywhere, and then when those same bureaucrats want to Infringe on thier climbing in any capacity they cry foul.... Think those liberals will fight for the continued use of lead ammunition in national forests, as those same bureaucrats also want to ban that.... ? 🤷♂️ I had tremendously wonderful times at the Ruth lake crag... I love and miss you so much brother... my only true friend in the end... RIP 1967-2017
At minute 0: 34 is a tremendous capture of Storm Mountain proper... My brother and I climbed it many many years ago. Three hour approach to where the roped climbing began... definitely epic adventure climbing... 23 non stop hours car to car... Almost was killed by rockfall during the rappel... We also had many great trips up to the Mule Hollow wall too, one day we were on the wall and here comes a free soloist cruising by about 50-75 feet to our left... lol yeah many memories along the front... Which includes some of rattle snakes in Mule Hollow, I'd seen two... one baby snake that I didn't see until I stepped on a boulder it was under... and another massive giant that we encountered on top of the cliff while we were descending towards the rappel anchors... Ooofff.... Again great capture of one of the greatest mountains in the Wasatch... Thanks for sharing n' God bless brother

@@TheWasatchGearReview Such a stunningly beautiful area. You are correct in that the last 1-2 miles back to the Trail Head is a climb that you don't realize on the hike in!
It's 2022 and that pad is still kicking about but I can't find the magic medium size you mention.. price has only increased after 7 seven years - inflation? Jack- from across the pond.
Went on a solo night hiking once. Even tho it was a good area with little criminal activity, I say it's still a good idea to have something to defend yourself. Even a small pocket knife would do in a just in case scenario.
BUYER BEWARE! This tent looks awesome and that is why I spent nearly 600 bucks on it (with stove, tub, poles and 4 day shipping). that was on Feb 10th. today is the 19th and i haven't heard nor seen any movement. I have Emailed twice without a word back on when it will ship. google LUXE HIKING GEAR SHIPPING REVIEW. tons of unhappy customers who have waited months or just never got there order. BBB has complaints too. All you hear is how great the tents are. such a shame nobody said anything on youtube. BUYER BEWARE!
Night hiking is great during winter, when the snow gets lit up really good by the full moon. Very peaceful experience - until you suddenly hear a crazy killer moose jumping around and breaking thick branches just 15 feet away, lol! This has happened twice, so it feels a bit reassuring to have a somewhat bright flashlight to alert my presence, as well as for me to check that the angry moose ran away, and is not lurking in the bushes right next to where im heading 😶
My ex FIL built that. I can give you some history if you want. We used to ride our horses up there. There is also a diary that everyone signed when they visited. Mine and my now late husband's name are in there too. The man that built this has long since passed away. It took him 7 years to build ALL by horseback. Yep. He hauled everything up there. He lived on Eastside Drive in Layton. You guys shouldn't be calling it "Adams Cabin." It SHOULD be named after that amazing and caring man that built it. This cabin had NOTHING TO DO with whoever "Adams" is.
Familiar camping spot in the woods, family time and surrounded by the beauty of nature all around, always the best Korbin. Your story telling with the camera is the best. Thanks Brother ☺️🌲
