I had a 2013 Elantra, amazing car. unfortunately, some jerk totalled it last year. I now have a 2017, very smooth ride, but the door latches keep needing to be replaced, (TSB) and I had to replace the purge valve, some sparkplugs and the gas cap. And I keep getting a CEL for EVAP issues. Never had to do any of that stuff with the 2013.
I am gonna be for real my man. I own a 2018 Elantra se that I have taken from 0-90,000 miles normal maintenance.I would advise from slamming the hand brake/parking brake it could potential damage your car if you stress it. I am in no way saying that it will destroy your car but stressing that brake could cause problems over time😊
Cool videos man. Love ev road trips. Maybe do a free challenge where even if it's slow or 5-10 miles out of the way hit all the free chargers you can. See how cheap you can get your roadtrip
Mine the 2020 with the electric shift I love it, you don't have to take it to the shop if it needs to be worked on you can do it yourself, I really like mine
Could you give us an update on the engine? I'm looking at buying the same year and model but already have a 2008 sonata in which I had to replace the engine 😭 and I know hyundai are notorious for major engine issues
The car has been reliable, changed the oil every 3000-4500 miles, and has had zero power train issues. That said, Hyundai has had some entire failures on 2.0 and 2.4 litre motors from around 2015-2020. My car has not been affected, but some have. Though from what I have heard, the 2.4 model sonata and Santa Fe seem to be the bulk of the issue.
The charging door is separate from the tail light. Had mine replaced due to the led stoped working. The charging door is also separate from the charging port. Also got a hertz rental, great review!
The charging door is only separate on the refresh 2024 highland model 3. As far as I know, the charge port, door, and tail light on legacy model 3 is all one unit.
Is it possible to use navigation on the captain screen and have music on upper screen or vice versa, or will the screens only accommodate one function between the two of them?
Sorry for the late reply, I loved this road trip. Not once did I feel as if the car was going to die in-between chargers or not charge in the heat, or some have some other issue that some EVs do have. Polestars estimated percentage on arrival was always either on the nose accurate, or pessimistic, which in turn allows you to arrive with MORE than it initially states. The range on my 2021 is the only thing that I would increased for my use, as skipping chargers usually isn't super easy as chargers are typically about 80-110 miles apart. (130-180 KM). In order to skip a charger, you usually need to leave with well over 85% which can take quite a while. That said, polestar 2 makes a great road tripping EV, especially the 2024 with its improved charging speed and range.
How long does the car take to charge at DC fast chargers ? And how much does it cost ? because i had a Kia ev6 rental and it took 16-18mins to charge to 80% at a charge point DC fast charger. Which was really good, and the range would last two weeks. The cost was around $18. Way cheaper than the gasoline car I own now. I’m considering a Polestar 2
Very similar cost to EV6 as the two battery packs are nearly identical capacities. I have confirmed that my Polestar will do a 15-75% charge in 27 Mins. Do note that since polestar is less efficient, even though the price is the same, the range is still 30-40 miles less than an equivalently priced EV6, depends on if it is the pre refresh or not, and if it is US or non US market vehicle. (Refresh US DM cars get the older pack whilst NON-US DM cars get the Updated Pack with 5 KWH more capacity and 50 KW higher charging speeds.)
Thanks for the great video! Question - Can you change the color of the Cybertruck on the computer display and navigation, from gray to say, blue? So if your Cybertruck is blue, the computer display also shows a blue car. Again, thank you for the great video!
