I'm an abstract painter and I can't lie this is offensive to me lmao I take so much time to actually create a piece that tells a story. This is just some dude throwing paint around smh
If you don’t think abstract art takes skill, that just shows how little you know about art concepts and is perhaps why so many have blind confidence that they can do it too. Does it require as much skills as other forms of art? Nope. But you still need to understand colour theory and use of space to make abstract art. If you think abstract artists are randomly placing colours around then you clearly are unable to understand what they are doing. Their strokes are intentional, not random. Else, you would end up with a gross mess of colours on a busy canvas. Abstract art is interesting because it makes something non representational still look pleasing to the eye with its use of colour, texture, and space. Saying abstract art is useless is like saying instrumental music is useless as that also “lacks clear meaning”. Neither are useless. If it’s not your preference watch something else. Putting other people down because you can’t understand what they’re doing is pathetic.
