Am I the only one with this theatre ick- when an ensemble member genuinely thinks they are above other ensemble members and are in some way better than them, like giving them notes and all their opinions, trying to stand out a lot and do too much, talking bad about others performances, saying they should have gotten the lead, literally only wanting to talk to and hang out with lead cast and basically ignoring ensemble etc- It’s just such a big yikes
I was in my earth science class when I heard and girl say, “ yeah I’m such a theatre girl 😊!”. And a girl that sat next to her who’s a little quite said, “have you ever been in any theatre type of things?” She replied with obviously a no and she said, “your a “tHeAtRe girl” I’m a girl in theatre, trust me your not that special”. And she didn’t say anything for the rest of the day. This girl was THE lead in almost every musical I’ve been in (aka every single one since elementary school!)
Random but one time I made a “Michael in the bathroom” parody for my friend while we were at rehearsal. It was literally just “Megan in the bathroom Megan in the bathroom at rehearsal”

2:30 an underrated musical for me is the lightening thief musical, it’s mainly for people who have read percy jackson and the olympians but it has some pretty good bops i suggest you check it out
3 YEARS AGO... 3 years ago- COVID STARTED THREE YEARS AGO wHAT- but also I'm so glad that I got my show last year and this year, great to be back in rehearsal, we made it through people
Ok just watching this now but in 2020 my school was supposed the do the music man and the literal WEEK before the performance was when quarantine happened. Thanks a lot COVID, we worked on that all year. (For some reason our school decided to start in like, October idk idk idk)
i'm sorry but Cats the musical was actually soooooo good, like i would say its better than Heathers for example. reminder I would say, but i do wonder why people hate it so much.

"defying gravity isn't hard, Y'all just can't belt" lol. No hate to anyone but it's kinda true. If you are an advanced singer who has been training for years and can belt safely lol ( aka the people who should even attempt a song like that) it isn't really that hard, you just need vocal agility and a high belt.

bro i’m a stage manager and i hate when kids come up to me and go “hey so can i just CHECK and make sure the blocking I HAVE is correct” and then pull up with an empty script with absolutely no blocking in it, one kid did this during tech week and i literally cried
