Hi! I am Markus Fussell a spray painter from Norfolk, Va. I monthly upload videos on how to paint with spray paint through tutorials and time lapse videos.
Really cool but where did the tiny people come from? Was that a stencil? It's like they weren't there then u turned the painting around and they were there.......would like to see how u created them is all
I recommend mtn water-based spray paint for canvas work. It's less toxic and safe to work with indoors. I'm also willing go on a limb and say it's not as damaging to the canvas as using conventional spray-paint like rusto or krylon. I'm using some right now so I'll let you guys know in a year or so how it holds up lol you can find this stuff at graffiti shops if you don't want to pay shipping. FYI to anyone out there that doesn't know... Mtn spraypaints are European and take a male cap, which there are way more of (fat caps, skinny caps, splatter caps, etc...) than American style female caps. I find the European companies to be more friendly to artists and worth looking into.
Unless you're really good at editing time lapses, how do your stars not thin out or end up to blotchy? Because that still looked wet, & I have now had to blow dry or air dry before attempting stars otherwise they end up as described above thin wet rings or big blotches.
Its all about the paint you are using and how much you spray down. I have found that the stars tend to do that if there is too much paint down when you put the stars on top, or if you are using cheaper paint that has thinner color pigment in the paint. I prefer to use the Rustoleum Painters touch for stars. Also, if you are not in a hurry. let the paint dry for at least 15 min or so, and the stars will lay right on top! Cheers!
@@MarkusFussellArt rustoleum, & krylon. Could be I try to be light as I can, maybe I shook it to much thinning it out but it's done it on dry paintings too.
@@MarkusFussellArt 🤔 I just so happened to pick up rustolum black the other day instead of krylon I'll have to try it out thanks. I have most my colors in rustolum. Only black, green & light blue krylon.
Nice idea, this structures in the foreground. Markus, how do clean your foambrushes after painting? Will normal water work? Or do yur use special cleaners?
Hi Markus, I have to repeat myself... Awesome work! I love every single video of yours, the give me many inspirations for my own spraypaint/airbrush paintings. :-) I´ve seen in the credits that the music is from The Fiction. Do you still know the title of this particular track?
@@MarkusFussellArt Markus, I have found the Band on YT, but couldnˋt find exactly the track you have in this video. Can you name the track or the album at least?
Hi Markus, I really love your paintings, they are way more interesting than the usual "Planet-and-Space" stuff ... Where do you get the stencils for the different figures you´re using in your paintings? I suppose they are from the net, but how do you get them that pinsharp cut out? Do you cut them out of posterboard?
Hello and thank you for the kind words. I draw and cut all of my stencils myself. That really is the best way to do it. And yea I cut them out of basic poster board 👍🏼
Idk if I ever commented to let you know, but I discovered your channel last year and was inspired to buy the paints and what I need to start up myself, and to this day every painting that I was happy with has sold, every single one. Thank you so much for your channel and for your inspiration! I would love to know what gloves you use that work best for the star technique. I am tired of having to scrub my hands for hours after, and any gloves I have bought to not seem to work the way I want.
@@bulldurham2465 that sounds like a good idea, but doesn’t solve the issue of having paint all over my bare hands. Also, I imagine that would be much harder to control the outcome of the star placement, I have m easy time using my fingers getting the stars right where I want them
