to account for tolorence would you just increate the diameter of the internal threads to whatever the size is plus .4mm so for instance your circles were 10mm for each so then i would change the diameter to the nut to be 10.4?
*Excellent, a well explained tutorial with no extra frills* , you also took into consideration both rules and exceptions ( If I Click this, this does this, but let Click this instead to get the desired effect we are aiming for in this tutorial ). . You did not assume anyone had pre knowledge you explained yourself as you were moving forward without mistakes on your part. . Again excellent tutorial.
It's pathetic to me that they have an External Thread tool, that doesn't show threads, & doesn't produce an stl with them, either. The hoops we have to jump though to get a thread for a bolt, and a nut is simply too time consuming. F360 can do it, but my pocket can't.
Excellent Video on Lofting. Glaad to see that you cover likely mistakes and how to recover from them. All too often videos fail to do that and it can be most frustrating to try to find why one' own drawing fails to match the tutorial. We could do with a video on Groups; when and why to create them, what problems they cause at assembly and how to un-Group a set of parts. Indeed there is another video on Mates why they go wrong and how to fix the problems.
I'm far from the next generation, actually nearly last to be honest, but that was a great video, one that as a newby helped me a lot and one i was able to follow. Definitely subscribed. Thank you
Thanks. I often go months without using onshape and sometimes need a refresher. This got straight to the point and jump started my brain and made me feel stupid for not remembering 😂.
As a fellow product design teacher and former engineering lecturer I have to say your content is the best I have found. Do you have any recommendations for rendering the final models?
Great feature OnShape and great you explained and demonstrated it, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. These short educational videos on hands-on demonstration are a great way to take people to the next level and it's also exactly what I'm looking for as education suits me.
