I had hoped this would be a source book series using the core Bolt Action rules. I get the feeling now it's going to be it's own "thing". I guess we will see how it turns out. So far, zero news about the game and 100% about the personalities behind it.
I appreciate this level of transparency in a game company, and it's clear that the writers really care about the project. I'm excited to see what the retro-future has in store for K47!
I love what you guys have done. I had a fair break in v2, came back and was playing historical scenarios and then BA started snowballing at the club. Then V3 hit and it's been really well received. Particularly with people starting back into the hobby or new players
sadly I couldnt make the Open Day this time but hopefully next year. I love John's fascination of the Spanish - I always love the smaller, less popular nations too!
During World War II, Project Pigeon (later Project Orcon, for "organic control") was American behaviorist B. F. Skinner's attempt to develop a pigeon-controlled guided bomb. Please warlord games I'm begging you......... It's very K47. It was a real thing...... Come on warlord.... You might not like my opel blitz idea but I need this one 😂😂😂 we all need this one 😂
Our number one complaint of K'47 was the organization of the rules. Endless digging through three books to find that one rule interrupted game flow. More cool units please and give us a meaning to take them. We had one player who played a straight WWII army and it was often more efficient than the weird units. There needs to be a compelling reason to play the weird units that goes beyond "that is a cool model"
Over the years I have spent a LOT of money on Warlord Games products. With this disastrously bad set of new rules, those days are over. You have lost not only me as a customer, Warlord, but my Games Group as well. I do not wish you well for turning out this crap rules set.
Konflict upgrade sprues sound neat in theory, but to be honest it's hard to feel like the last thing I need is ending up with even more leftover bolt rifle arms that will never be used elsewhere. Can dream of some proper plastic kits for squads of tesla gunners or power armored shock troops.
To be honest I saw the tourney virus infesting BA 3rd with the previews so I got off the ship before it hit the iceberg. Must say ive heard far more negative feedback than positive.
Please fix the cover and vehicles/ obstacle rules. Both rules make no sense. The same with spotters. Light howitzers for excample can't have theire own spotters. But they can use any other spotter? Makes no sense.
@@jamesgreen6877 No. It is simply disappointing that they have once again failed to create sensible rules. They don't even manage to write a rulebook in which rules that are years old are explained in a sensible way. Some of the rules even contradict each other.
@@wolfrikthewild8550 No. I mean the whole package. The rulebook is a complete mess. Rules start on one page and 50 pages later you find the rest. Armoured wheeled vehicles can't drive through a wooden fence, but an unarmoured one with tracks can drive through walls. Makes perfect sense. I can't buy a spotter for a light howitzer but I can use any other spotter for this howitzer. What? See FUBAR table or Recce reactions. In V3 everyone always runs away now. Very logical. These are just a few examples. It was just about players having to buy more new units, not about writing a good set of rules.
i know its niche, but hear me out.... Bolt Action Falklands. watched it on tv as a kid, wargamed it with green toy soldiers as a kid, would love to do it proper.
Why did you F up the Hungarians So Much? Hungarian Paratroopers come with 4 smgs and cannot be used with the new Infantry Template and cannot be used straight out of the Box so i have to play without them.. Also why did you Introduce Tigers,Panthers Stugs Pzivs and Hetzers in Fortress Budapest to the Hungarian Army only to have them Taken away in this latest PDF update? I cannot play my Hungarian Tank war Force/battles in V3 because of this Invalidation of So many Vehicles
@@brad4268ify I also don't understand many of the decisions in V3. It seems to me that something has gone wrong there. A lot of the changes seem completely haphazard and forced. Sometimes completely contradictory. The rulebook alone is unnecessarily bloated and a complete mess.
Beth is an amazing person and has made a lot for this game which we love. If you wish to provide feedback or your opinions about the new rules thats fair enough. But please keep your maners and be respectful. Many thanks 🙏🏻
Fine but why is he wearing a provocative t shirt that's clearly trying to make a statement? As a member of staff why is he not wearing a staff t shirt. Warlord scared to say no as they may be accused of bigotry I suspect.
@@TheKenthor Shooting, assaulting being worthless, Buildings being worst than heavy cover. cover saves slowing the game down The National chrematistics for every army being terrible or just copy and pasted from last edition but worst. Army platoon structure Breaking the game and causing no end but spam armies. Most vehicles are worthless and and still too highly pointed to be taken Snipers are too expensive and aren't worth it anymore just to them only being able to shoot nco's and officers LMG's still too expensive and flamer throwers aren't worth taking at all now.
Much as I love my British automated infantry units, they were a pig to make and avoid falling apart ( much pinning). Would love those in WL resin! I love the aesthetic of k47 with regular infantry beside these new fangled gadgets. So, in summary, to quote Barry Davies..."interesting....VERY interesting!"
I would like an opel blitz truck variant for K47. A casualty wagon with corpses and injured men that is used to draw in TotenKorp so they can be reused. In game it could generate d3 TotenKorp a turn.
It's a shame that illogical rules from V2 have been blindly adopted and that even more rules have been added that make no sense. They should have taken more time. It feels like you've been told in the middle of the process that you have to finish now.
@@TheCellpool I'm not saying it's super bad, but it's very far from fantastic. There are certainly many things that have really been improved or simplified. But unfortunately there are far too many rules that are poorly explained, make no sense or even contradict each other within the rulebook. Unfortunately, the potential that V3 would have had was missed.
The Guildford club have done a great job of amending the Blood Red Skies rules that fit WW1 aerial gaming. I think they may have even submitted them for review by Warlord. Very interesting.
Everytime a video of John comes up, I immediately stop what im doing and watch it. He is the kind of guy, you would love to go have a pint with, you'd lose a whole afternoon just talking and learning soo much cool stuff
I can't wait to jump in. I'll be ordering my bolt action 3e starter set next week, I plan on fleshing out both forces into full armies over time. I'm really excited for K47 also, I have huge interest in the setting and have been making terrain to fit the setting as I understand it. This week I made a TotenKorp pen. You've really enticed me back into the hobbie in a major way. I'm inspired and active. Thank you. Looking forward to much more from you. ❤
