I have covered this in another video - worth a look - How to avoid the issues with fitting an Audi A2 bonnet? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LZHRx5hunxw.html
Do you know if these covers are the exact same on all four jacking points around the car, or if they are specific to certain positions? I just bought an A2 which is missing all of them, and I'd like to find replacements.
My A2 has a missing "XZN M8" bolt on the passenger side.. considering swapping them all out for M8 Allen head bolts.. is there anything else 'special' about the XZN bolts?
Thanks for the video! Just as a side note, the bolts fastening the lock can be opened using a torx 40 - might not be suggested but seemed to work fine in lack of the original driver head.
I used the information from your video today to open my boot/tailgate! Thanks! I’m no IT specialist but maybe it’s worth adding Tailgate in the title to aid people in their search for this info and possibly gain you more views.
I suppose you have since got rid of this OEM tow bar - but in case you haven't are and willing to sell it I would be interested... thank you for your channel in any case, I just got me a FSI and am presently working on the bugs one after the other to make it as reliable as possible.
Great video. First time in 17 years my keys went out of sync, on my fully loaded Storm. Shame you've stopped producing YT videos, but know how hard it can be. If you ever want to start up again, happy to give some guidance as I've learnt a thing or two over the past 3 years. Thanks again.
Same procedure with rear door? My window can go down electrically but doesn't go up anymore. It stays temporarily in place with a wedge. I think the plastic piece connected with the cable broke down so I'll have to open it
this tip saved me during the pandemic when the battery went flat. Eventually, the plastic cable snapped out. Do you have any tips about how to replace it? many thanks for considering my request.
Hi Diego. Glad it helped you out. I’ve had this happen before also and the only thing you can do is pull off the boot trim and install a new cable or cord/string.
@@mrbroons I've actually discovered that it is the wiring harness in the Flexi between the roof lining and the boot that is the issue. It appears that the cables have been damaged, possibly when the previous owner has repaired the common rear washer hose problem 🤦🏼
Ahhh should have thought of that!! I had the washer issue a while back but was fixed and never had an issue with the wiring. Glad you got to the bottom of it. Thanks for getting back to me.
Can you tell me more Paul. You can check the voltage on your main car battery. Should be about 12v with the engine off and 14v with the engine running. If lower than that you could need a new battery or a alternator.
Hi! I've just changed the ccu, because it doesn't work proper anymore, and replaced with another one with the same code, but now i have one window that don't go up anymore, and the little red light in the driver door is not beeping anymore... obviously the key is not working... if you could help me... thank you in advance 😅
It depends on how badly aligned they are but you can make adjustments at the door latch. Simply undo the bolts and move it around a little and should move the door slightly when closed.
There is a micro switch in the door lock that could be at fault. It could also be wiring. It is a common fault. Take a look on A2OC and there will be more information. 👍
Thanks Pal. Having a battery issue with our little A2…….can’t seem to get to the bottom of it. If it’s not run every couple of days it sulks and won’t start…………forgot how to open the boot it’s been that long……..appreciate the vid
I have translated to English. Apologies if the translation is wrong. You asked if there is a sign on the dash when the hood is open? Do you mean the engine cover (bonnet) or tailgate (boot). If you mean the bonnet then I don’t think there is a sign on the dash but the car will not lock. If you mean the boot then it will appear on the dash if you have DIS but not otherwise. Hope this helps. If you are struggling send me a video of what you mean and I’ll try and help more. Happy New Year from Scotland 🏴
