So my dad got this done. And he almost choked to death from aspiration from a bolus feed. Ugh I think the nurse failed to get him to sit up properly before the feed.

I had a hysterectomy bilateral salpingo oophorectomy a week ago. I was given Versed (relaxant, causes amnesia) before i even signed my consent forms. I was given more Versed the moment my butt hit the table in the OR. I was in the OR from 8am to 9:24am before they put me under anesthesia. no where in my patient portal does it say what they did to me for almost 90 minutes before being anesthetized. I also read in my records that even tho I did Not see my surgeon before my surgery, he had obtained verbal consent from me to have students do vaginal/rectal exams on me while i was under anesthesia.. if i was even under anesthesia at that time and not just versed. I dont remember anything and the nightmares are fierce. I have to do brachytherapy now and ive been watching videos on youtube and every time i see a man doing the pelvic stuff i break down crying and i dont know why. I dont want to do this. i dont want to be put under. i dont want versed ever again. i hate them all.
I had an angioplasty 2 days ago after the start of getting chest pains while walking 6 weeks ago. Naturally, I was apprehensive and ended up getting 2 stents fitted. The procedure wasn't too bad and the only discomfort i felt was when they were inflating the balloon. It was more painful peeling off the plaster where they inserted the catheter. I'm 51 years old and considered young. The only concerns I have is how I will recover, i.e., will the procedure work. What I need to do to prevent more blockages to my arteries in the furture. Although I have been given meds to help prevent this, I need to make some minor changes to my lifestyle. Remaining positive, I dont see any reason why I can't continue to live a normal life.
It has been a little over 2 years ago I lost total sight in my left eye. I asked for a CT scan of my eye, went back for results and was not told the truth. was told "everything is fine". Two years later received a call from doctors office suggesting I come back for results. Told woman "I already had". The woman realized date was two years prior. She was shocked . . I had a grape sized aneurysm, needed emergency surgery. The aneurysm was already up against optic nerve in original ct scan. But was told " everything is fine. Now have Charles Bonnet syndrome, trichiasis so many permanent side affects. Extremely painful
I went to the ER and they treated me like a hypochondriac crazy. That was about 45 days ago and I continue to have numbness on my forehead , face and down my right side. And my thinking isn’t clear. I have a neurologist appointment in a month, but even my PCP wasn’t very concerned at first.

I was held down by about five to six nurses nearly every time I had to get a vaccine from the age of 5 to the age of 10. I shielded myself with a chair when I was 12 because I was so terrified of a flu shot. Safe to say that isn't the best way to "help" a child. I'm getting some vaccines tomorrow and I'm gonna try my best to manage. Wish me luck.
