Thank you for your video. It's been very helpful for my thesis. Please, is there any reason for not sorting the analytical variable before grouping them?
When I do this process Model 7 with my SPSS, I got a positive sign for my moderator (w) and negative sign for Int_1 . I think this mean there is a positive moderation. I would like to know why I got negative sign for Int_1 ? Please help me
Thank you so much sir, for this video. I wanted to know is it applicable for 4 point likert scale? and secondly, how should I cite? If any book or article or this video?
Respected Sir, Thank you for the response. It would be helpful for my research data analyses if you provide the reference🙏@@dr.yasirhayatmughalstatsfo7381
Thank you very much for the video. I am trying to plot an interaction on spss with one continuous independend variable and one categorical (3 cat) moderator along with covariates. Do you know how I plot it with the covariates?
Yes you have to read Aiken and West book 1991 chapter number 7 page 116, or you may find in Andy Field and Hayes stats book, and you can download excel files to plot graph from jeremy dawson website and in addition you may download interaction software just upload spss file and select variables it will plot for you. I hope it works 😊
@@dr.yasirhayatmughalstatsfo7381 Thank you very much sir for your immediate reply. I have one more question. Is it mandatory to add main effects to the linear regression model when checking for interactions? Would it be proper to plot only with the interaction terms? Thank you very much!
Thank you so much this is exactly I was searching from last month. Actually I have 10 questions in a Likert scale to assess Acceptance of a device, I saw almost 50 videos on how to analyse a likert scale. But no video mentions how to categorise in highly acceptance to lower acceptance. I hope in this which you explained will applicable to a my situation. In this I have 10 questions on a 5 point likert scale from 1 to 5. And the lowest is 10 to highest is 50. I want to make a range of highly acceptable, acceptable and low acceptable. So please reply can I follow this for a likert scale or there’s some else formulas for this. Thank you so much.
My two lines are not intersecting each other The upper line is going out from the graph in upward direction. P value of interaction term is significant less than 0.05.... Please guidu me that line going out of the graph is an issue or not. Moreover my moderation is significant or not
Hi sir, do you enter the wrong numbers in the Excel? For example, you enter -1.0144 as a moderator in the Excel. But SPSS shows this is the independent variable?
Our school statistitian told us our data for cfa is poor and not a good fit as well. We cannot figure out what is wrong since he doesn't explain us clearly. Is there any way or website to test our data?

@@dr.yasirhayatmughalstatsfo7381 sir we have 4-likert scale with 400 sample size, since our statement indicator is 39. Our statistitian told us he used SPSS.
@@jernaf7340 first of all 5 likert or for better result especially SEM 7 likert is recommended bcoz 7 likert helps in explaining variance. I suggest you use 7 likert scale and recollect data it will be much better. If u use spss then 5ikert scale also works. But better use 7 likert scale
@@dr.yasirhayatmughalstatsfo7381 sir, my data has terrible RMSEA..that's what it says. What was wrong with it? Do I have to conduct or administer another batch of respondents? Thanks.
@@princessniq7820 try unweighted least squares (ULS) and diagonally weighted least squares (DWLS) based on polychoric correlation matrices, it will give you least RMSEA
very helpful video!can i ask you something?i split the level of metacognition awareness in low, medium, high with this method. and i want to find if the high level of metacognition predict high level of selfefficacy..i ll do the same metho for SE and then linear regression?thank you!
Dear Sir, i have estimate values of my analysis results from Mplus. Can I follow this excel sheet to generate this graph? Furthermore, why not you entered Intercept, mean, standard deviation values? Does these not influence the graph?
Hello sir wonderful video, i have to do a t test with high and low. Is it possible to first split the continous variable into three then take only high and low for further analysis
@@dr.yasirhayatmughalstatsfo7381 my continous variable is social media usage. My hypothesis is there will high social media users will have lower mental well-being than low social media users
@@aakritibhanjo6051 ok, just split your social media and mental well-being into two categories i.e. low and high then check the frequncy. Second thing is you can do it by moderation it will create a plot and automatically explain you low high and moderate effect of moderator upon mental well being.
@@dr.yasirhayatmughalstatsfo7381 sir I read that splitting variables dichotomously results in loss of information, hence i did low medium high then t test with low and high, is that okay?
Just as I wondered how to turn a continuous variable into a categorical one, I bumped into this pure gold video. Thanks a million, Sir! Bow to you from Ecuador.
There are lot of statistics books such as gaur and gaur 2009, tabachnik and fidell, Palling 2010, I will share other references you can use in your thesis for reference
