What a beautiful memory for you such a simple idea to take on the cruise and nearly complete while you are actually on the cruise. You are right had you tried to do this when you came home it wouldn’t have happened. Oh how I wish I had done something like this over the many cruises my husband and I did while he was alive. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful memory. I still cruise but now sadly on my own maybe I could try doing a journal similar to yours. I have never made a journal would love to try. I do have lots of Stampin Up products which I could put to good use. Do you have a video that shows how to make a journal. I do subscribe to your newsletter. Thank you once again for sharing this memory. Kind Regards Ruth Best Australia. ❤
Hello Ruth, Thank you so much for your sweet words. I do use some SU products but also non-SU 'stuff' I have collected in my stash :-) This video is the last of a series where I actually created each of the pages (signatures) cover and decorations - if you you select the 'Play List" on my RU-vid Channel you will see a list called Blue and Pink Junk Journal - you will be able to follow along each step, I even share how I bound this journal as well as making decorative elements. Enjoy :-)
@@CindysCardCraftingCorner Really appreciate you responding to my comment and I will spend some quiet time looking at video channel. I also use other products I do have many crafting tools. 💕🌹
I would tape the patterned paper and inside lining in place on the card base, cut the bigger circles out of all three at the same time, and then glue them together.
You are so very welcome. I am sure there are more elegant ways to make this card, it was my first time as well I see my lives and videos as voyages of exploration, so there will always be a chance of needing a do over and I want to share that as well. Good luck with your next try. 😊
Thank you so much. Two years ago I tried making a spinner card, but it did not spin as required. I tried repeatedly in vain. So I gave up making it. Now your step by step procedure shows how we can overcome mistakes in our card making. I wanna try again. Thank you again, have a nice day!
For some reason I cannot send an email to the address listed above. I've tried on my phone and get "site cannot be found" and I've tried on my computer and get "Undeliverable".
Hello from stormy Myrtle Beach! I really appreciated the tip on cutting using the edging dies; I always seem to have issues. Lovely card - thank you. Marge
Nice to see a demonstration... so many tik toks out there that are so quick you can't really tell how they did it. These turned out very pretty! Also, some scrape the wax off the metal while it's still liquid so that the wax stays just in the design or words, then restamp a different contrasting color. The words/design come out and embed on the bottom layer. I want to try that too.
Thank you! I was needing a relatively simple card kit idea for a card craft I do for my work friends before Christmas and I think I just found it!!! I can imagine this with Christmas papers and sentiments too. Very lovely.
I really don't think the ATC cards I make, using mostly magazines clippings, are worthy of trading, but i would love to swap a card with you. I have the advantage of seeing your work, so I pretty much know what kind of little gems to expect. What you would receive from me would be sight unseen. Seems unfair. But if you're willing, let's trade a card!
Thank you for sharing this card fold. I will be trying this. For cleaning my scissors or anything that gets glue on it, even my self healing desk pad; I use 91% alcohol; as I don't care for the residue or smell of goo gone.
Good question, the trouble I was having with the trimmer on this video turned out to be 'paper fluff' that had gathered in the cutting groove, once I cleaned it out the blade worked perfectly. As for sharpening the blade, I might gently use an emery board but mainly have to just discard the blade and replace it with a new one.
THAT is an interesting suggestion, Sally - I am thinking about using some fabric lace to decorate some pages, I will see how that turns out - I will bear a fabric page in mind - thanks for the idea
