My name is Thomas, and I'm a 2D & 3D Motion Designer and animator.
Blender Tutor focuses on teaching you how to create cool motion graphics & how to use the physics simulation tools in Blender, but I also cover fundamental 3D topics, like modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation.
If you're new to blender, or looking to upgrade your skills as a 3D artist, subscribe to the channel and come learn with us!
You can help support me creating free Blender training, as well as get access to my Blender project files from all of my tutorials if you become a patron!
is this possible with modded worlds/servers? they don't use the normal MC launcher, so I don't know if it would show up in the world list. Would you need to download the world file and insert it somewhere?
thanks for the amazing video, I have one question: I cant go inside my UV sphere and see the object inside it. it only shows the texture. Do you have any suggestion?
How can you add a logo to an existing 3 model to print flat on the model surface? For instance, putting a logo on a baseball hat or a logo on a football helmet?
svg is not the only vector based file you can import in blender in fact you can use .dxf wich also exports from illustrator and other vector based softwares. dxf ofers the ability to import the files with a unit of 1 wich in illustrator you can set as 1mm but blender will read it as 1, this is important because it doesn't alter any mesurments along the way, so if you want to 3D print a logo it will be at the correct scale you had set in illustrator. theres is also another way to clean up the mesh wayyyy faster by using a decimate modifier and select the planar option and applying it, any imperfections just do the process described in the video.
import bpy # Iterate through all materials for material in bpy.data.materials: # Check if the material has a blend mode property if hasattr(material, 'blend_method'): # Check if the blend mode is 'BLEND' if material.blend_method == 'BLEND': # Change blend mode to 'CLIP' material.blend_method = 'CLIP' This script will change the blend mode of alpha materials to clip instead of blend
2:35 This has nothing to do with the quality of the SVG file. Getting a really messy mesh is just the expectable result of turning an organic, smooth vector graphic into a body of stiff and edgy polygons.
is there a point in the timecode where you do the converting of the center circle on the left into 2 ngones? I feel like those steps are missing...or I am missing something. BTW great video. Thanks for putting it up.
I'm finding it hard for me to make the hair not phase through the object. I did everything in this tutorial but the hair will keep going into the mesh and leave bald spots.
so there are two things here, providing reflections from the sharper/High res version of the HDRI. From what I understand you are supposed to actually light the scene with a smaller blurry version of the same HDRI. I guess if you are using a sky with a bland sky groundscape then its not so much an issue Most of the older HDRI sets I used to download had the blurry version included like the Zion_Sunsetpeek set
This helped me so much! The only thing I had to do that wasn't in this tutorial is I changed the texture of the leaves (jungle) so that they weren't transparent, the transparent leaves ruined the way it looked for my project, but everything else worked perfectly!
no matter what i do with my hair seem it seems to chatter from frame to frame when my character is in motion. I have optix on, modifier stack, and turn off 'close tip' off. It's still just chattering. Driving me up the wall. My first creature animation ever.
ive been making logos in blender for years now, and this turotial has saved me so much time. can't believe i havent seen it sooner. thanks you so so so much
