I appreciate these videos. A local retro arcade has a pristine KI2 cabinet. I use to play KI and KI2 innthe arcade constantly back in the day. I immediately picked Jago back up since he was my main. I had forgotten how to use everyone else.
@@Joneshing The SNES version was recently added to Switch. The arcade versions of 1&2 were on XboxOne but I don't know if they're still available or not. They weren't sold as stand-alone games, they were part of the Seasons for KI (2013) aka KI3
@@GlaciusXL Thanks! I literally got my ass whooped as a kid sneaking off to the arcade to play KI 1 and 2 🤣. So, just watching these tutorials brings back memories. The combo system was one of the most satisfying ever created; really nothing like pulling off an Ultra combo and then watching your opponent tumble into the rendered abyss. Good times and thanks for putting these up!
@@rellywilkins486 Add an extra BACK before you press QK for the Ultra. So, normal Ultra is Charge BACK, press FORWARD +QK. Instead, Charge BACK, press FORWARD, BACK+QK. This also works on his enders. So instead of b,f for his enders, do b,f,b.
@@Yopmemama As much as I've played KI, I've actually never thought about trying a speedrun. I imagine it's frustrating and/or tedious. Only game I really ever tried speedruns were the original 3 Splinter Cell games.
I'm playing the Xbox One port of KI, I found that holding down while Sabrewulf is running for an uppercut also turns the launcher into an opener, no howl required.
@@GavinFreedomLover It's been so long! I really need to make some more VR videos. I can't remember if it was a tripod or sittng on the back of the seat.
@@longWriter Short answer, yep. Long answer...In default gameplay without meter, 4 characters in KI2 have no projectiles: Maya, Tusk, Sabrewulf & TJ. With Super, Sabre gains a projectile. So really just 3 characters. Now, when it's at the end of the fight and the opponent is on danger, all 3 of them have a full screen NO MERCY. TJ has his gun, Tusk meteors, Maya dagger toss. But I wouldn't really count those. In KI1, TJ and Cinder were the only characters who didn't have true projectiles, but Cinder at least had a couple flame attacks that countered incoming projectiles. So in that, I would same TJ was the only one.
I just got KI Definitive Edition for the Xbox and yeah.. some of these moves for KI are not easy to make with a regular Xbox controller.. Btw way, my characters look very grainy, yours have much better resolution, is there a way to improve the video settings?
i still currently have the N64 with 6 games rr64(ridge racer 64), WF war zone, jet force gemini, mario kart 64, mortal kombat trilogy, and finally killer instinct gold
I was really good with spinal on this version. I could mever get very good with him on xbox 1, the version i now have and play on. I have KIgold on rare replay an xbox 1 game. I swear the controls are are to broken to make it worth even playing, sucks.
@GlaciusXL nice. Huh, never thought of that. I loved the options full super bar, that was fun, I could slay on that mode, lol, I remember getting KI2 on Xbox one and having to earn it... lol it was like relearning the game allover again because I started playing it on Nintendo 64 KI Gold.
Truthfully, Sabrewulf MIGHT have the most videos lol. But I'll record some more KI stuff soon! I still need to make a video on the KI2 Sabrewulf statue
i can't do the super slow ender fireball with glacius after sweep on KI SNES, could you show inputs to help out? this is a nightmare because it's what's keeping me from improving my TAS
Oh man, my all time favorite Arcade fighting game from the 90s.. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I'm already looking into downloading MAME emulator to play it on my PC/TV. Btw, do you have a link for that awesome controller pad and stick?
Awesome! Glad you like the tutorial, I actually did videos for all the characters for KI and KI2. The Arcade Stick is actually a custom stick I made from some MDF shelving board. The internals are a Brooks Universal Fighting Board, IL stick, and HAPP buttons. The fight pad I use on 2p is an XboxOne FIGHTING COMMANDER. They also made one for PS4 and the Switch. Unfortunately you can only seem to find them secondhand but they are great controllers! EDIT: The Switch version is still available for like $40. Not sure if it works on PC or maybe a converter would work.
@@DubThaTRUTH I made it already. There's a KI2 Sabrewulf tutorial in the description. There's also a KI2 Sabrewulf playthrough Tips video. I recently did a KI2 Sabrewulf Ultra tutorial and there's a KI1 Sabrewulf tutorial as well. You can check the Video section or check my PLAYLISTS for the KI tutorials.
@@KillerArcadeGames Game Terminal is cool. If you only play arcades and don't drink, you will spend $0. It's weird but all the cost is in the bar, food and pinball. They have outdoor stuff like pingpong, cornhole etc for free too.
@@GlaciusXLI’m not much of a drinker so it sounds great to me haha. But that goes to show how over priced alcohol is. They’re paying a huge electric bill, staff, upkeep on the machines and the alcohol funds it! I never understand why people go out and pay huge premiums for a liquid they’ll pee out and it’s harming them. I’m a square 😂
Dural vs Wolf, start the round with pushforward punch punch punch immediately followed by jump kick (stick straight up and kick). If she blocks all of that, low kick low high kick, jump kick (stick stright up while hitting high kick)
Thanks dude! I tried to use a lot of different moves. Watching back over it, I got A LOT of PERFECTS. But it's on Medium. The Heihachi finally hit was funny to me...POGO attack into Perfect!
Yeah, seemed like a good time for it since I was losing. I was trying to do as many moves and throws as I could. I think I'd attempted it in an earlier fight but it got interrupted.
Tekken Tag/2 always a fan favorite. Great time attack playthrough and in case i forgot to mention earlier, congrats on achieving and surpassing 1K Subs man. Thats Awesome. ✌️
Thanks dude! I love the Tekken Tag games. If only Tekken 5 DR would have been Tag. Yeah, I was actually in Darryl's stream when I got the 1k and mentioned it there and got the congrats from several in the chat. Thanks again!
I remember this from ps2 believe. I liked using yoshimitsu, he had some killer moves that flip where he jumps and slices em up. Also his suicide move is cool too.
@@chrissteiger4199 Yeah it was Tekken Tag 1. It was a launch game for PS2 and THE game I bought the system for. It's still really fun and one of the best looking PS2 games. Yoshi was one of my absolute favorites in Tekken 3 and Tag1.
Tekken 2 was the first game that I got when I was able to finally buy a PlayStation in 1997. To this day, it remains my favorite entry in the Tekken series followed by Tekken Tag. Awesome playthrough with Nina. I normally chose Kazuya myself. 👊
Yeah, I don't know how well it holds up in VS but it's fun still. The whole cast is fun! Really is a different game without the sidestep and having the moon jumps. Still love it.
You make it look too easy😅 again I'm trying to do the combo at 33:25 and I can't, I just roll and then lift them up in the air giving me a 12 hit combo, it's hard. I get what happens at 35:08. What am I doing wrong?
It's really all about timing as I flesh out at this point in the video. Pressing BACK a little before the QP Linker and delaying slightly before the MK Auto are vital to making it work. It's definitely difficult!
Thanks for doing these request videos, man. KI2 doesn't get enough love in the fight game scene, I my opinion. Could you do a 70 hit tutorial with Orchid, focusing on that awesome energy cat move and her helicopter kick?
